wjag Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 And then it gets worse.. Spezza cleans up a rebound... I had a choice to start Auld or Lalime and I chose Lalime  Buffalo: Senators: :death: :death: :death: :death:
tulax Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 It's safe to say they don't have to wait any longer to possibly bring Gaustad or Connolly back.
SwampD Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 It's safe to say they don't have to wait any longer to possibly bring Gaustad or Connolly back. I know who Gaustad is but who is this guy Connolly of which you speak?
wonderbread Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 So are we playing 6 on 3 all night. The effort just isn't there. Disappointing after that Bills stinker yesterday. Hey at least we got world Juniors.
SwampD Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Okay all we need is a 4-goal period.. Let's do it. We start on the powerplay. Gotta make it count, quick.
carpandean Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 They've haven't been playing their best game, but I haven't felt like they were completely dominated all game. 2-0 or 3-1, maybe, but 4-0? They can't buy a goal tonight and the Sens are just a half step ahead in a few key moments. Need to come out fast and take it one goal at a time.
navybillsfan Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 WGR reports "The Buffalo Sabres face the Sens this evening and say they will use the Buffalo Bills game plan from Sunday"
jrsarkov Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Good news. We only play the Sens 6 times this year and not 8. here's a brain teaser for you- will the bills score more touchdowns in canda this year compared to sabres goals against ottawa? hmmmmmmmmm wtf- why do they always get healthy againts the sabres.
carpandean Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 WGR reports "The Buffalo Sabres face the Sens this evening and say they will use the Buffalo Bills game plan from Sunday" At least the Bills had a lead at one point.
Stoner Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 As I stated yesterday, I had a bad feeling about this one. For some reason, we just can't beat these guys like we should. Why should we beat Ottawa? There doesn't seem to ever be an answer for Ottawa's top three. Sabres coming back from two down to get cheesy overtime/shootout wins seems to have momentarily tipped this season in another direction. Getting rewarded for bad habits is never a good thing. Pominville has been just brutal. The guy's legs aren't moving at either end of the rink. Contract fever I guess. And the call on Max is one of the best illustrations yet of what a joke officiating is in this league. And why the typical American sports fan can never take the game seriously. It's borderline WWF half the time. These refs are just too active, too emotionally involved. The ref put on a Sens sweater and sanctioned the roughing on Afinogenov as justified because he was a hair late on his shot. It would never happen in the NFL. My blood's a boilin'!
R_Dudley Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 As I stated yesterday, I had a bad feeling about this one. For some reason, we just can't beat these guys like we should. Just a bad night Lalime looks bad too many easy rebounds Who the hell knows....this has been a very poorly officiated game. I am just not seeing any flow to how they are calling it so players must be scratching their heads as well. It's safe to say they don't have to wait any longer to possibly bring Gaustad or Connolly back. They need something to wake them up I am real disappointed they look this flat, they are just not beating them too the puck and way to many opportunties to check/bury the Ottawa players with the puck have gone undone. They look like crap , boy I sure hope Lindy gives them an ear full in between periods, I don't care if they can't make up all 4 goals but they better come out and play with some grit and like their hairs on fire or I would be telling them the practices they have coming up are going to be like playing 2 games (the one they aren't playing tonight and the one they will play tomorrow.
BuffalOhio Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Who the hell knows....this has been a very poorly officiated game. I, as an ice hockey official, completely agree with you. BRUTAL.

Spudz Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 What happened to the sound defensive hockey we saw in the first few games? They were so patient and waited to take their chances. The positioning doesn't seem to be there. Just wandering around, and when the sens enter the zone they skate right around the outside. There is a lot of careless forcing and trying too hard individually today. I wonder if Rivet being around matters that much. This looks like last year tonight, and I don't think the goose brings that type of leadership.
wjag Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Donovan... Everyone in Ottawa is getting healthy tonight... Buffalo: Senators: :death: :death: :death: :death: :death:
SarasotaSabre Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 nice job with the matador D, Lydman.....
R_Dudley Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Fugggly this is just an embarassment, might as well just send Peters out to fight now and totally embarass ourselves.. :bag:
R_Dudley Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Fugggly this is just an embarassment, might as well just send Peters out to fight now and totally embarass ourselves.. :bag: Okay called that right except fight wasn't total embarassment, now how some body checks and about 4 straight goals to make it respectable
thesportsbuff Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 i hate every single person on Ottawa's roster
wjag Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Buffalo PP 5 on 3 for 2 minutes About time Finally a goal.. MacArthur Buffalo:  Senators: :death: :death: :death: :death: :death:
R_Dudley Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 This team just doesn't have it tonight a 5 on 2 and they find a way to make Auld look like a fantatstic goalie but finally get one. Sheesh time to watch the Hawks and Wild I'm outta here :chris:
