tom webster Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 http://www.buffalonews.com/opinions/column...ory/474452.html Now, if they ever want to acquire a free agent, and that may be an if, they know who to use to help promote the idea with whatever player.
Stoner Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Anyone else totally confused by this? Bucky's a South Buffalo guy. He's justifiably proud of his city. Does Rivet live in South Buffalo? Buffalo at all? Rivet likes Clarence, the "outskirts." It's people moving to the outskirts that killed the center city, the downtown. Of course now "outskirts" can be defined as any city the Sabres are visiting. Rivet continues to rag on Buffalo as "undesirable." All these hockey people rave about Buffalo but don't live there. I give Losman a lot of credit for actually living in the city, trying to do something to make it better. More myth-making hoo-ha from Bucky. I can't read another jock-sniffing article from this guy. Great imagination, I'll give him that.
ct fab Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Bucky isn't a South Buffalo guy, he's a South OF Buffalo guy. He grew up in Lakeshore (Hamburg) and went to Frontier HS. I grew up with him. Lakeshore is a suburb, obviously
wonderbread Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 fter reading Bucky's lastest "gem" it got me thinking. Do the Sabres have an employee who "helps" the new players with their transition into Buffalo.
wonderbread Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 After reading Bucky's lastest "gem" it got me thinking. Do the Sabres have an employee who "helps" the new players with their transition into Buffalo. This would be a great way to make Buffalo and the Sabres attractive to outside players thereby improving the impression of Buffalo. It would be a relatively inexpensive way to boost PR.

Always wanted to do one of those! Did I do it correctly? Not sure. Ink?
bottlecap Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 I had a notion to read Bucky's column, but then I changed my mind.
