Lindy must love having a backup goalie he can trust...

Lindy must be feeling like he won the lottery...after it was clear last year he had little to no faith in Thibault, playing him only 6 times and watching in horror most games as the opposition scored easy goals far too often, Lalime has been spectacular in his 2 games so far, posting a 1.51 GAA and a .951 save percentage which is actually better than Miller's .944 Save percentage...

I have to say from a fan perspective its great to know the team isn't gonna necessarily have to score 4 or 5 goals to win the game with their backup goalie in...I am sure the players must love having that feeling as well...

Lalime seems very capable of putting up good numbers....basically his career can be broken down into playing with a good team(Ottawa), where his save percentages were always above .900 and had 3 years around .913 or .914, and his time on bad teams(St. Louis and Chicago), where he had 3 years of sub-.900 save percentages...

Either way, getting Lalime seems to be as important for this team as the acquisition of Rivet...great job to Darcy in finding another great backup....

Man, can you imagine if T-blo played last night, it could have been 11-2. I always wondered what happened to Lalime to drop to a backup. He was looking like a full time starter when he was with Ottawa, and then he like fell off the face of the Earth. Definitely one of DRs better FA moves. I'm happy as a clam we got him.
