inkman Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 I do agree with the Bush comment. It's amazing that some people would even consider voting for McCain and a continuation of the Bush legacy of destruction. Wait a minute here Deluca Bin Laden. McCain is a Maverick. He is going to expose Washington's pork bill passers and he's going to make real changes.
nfreeman Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 I said it before in another thread and I'll say it again. Gerbe is not a center. Why would they call him up given that we have 1-2 natural centers on the current roster? Point taken, but I think if they need a forward, they'll call up the best forward they have in Portland and let one of the wingers play center as needed. By counting on Timmay we were already down one center in the preseason. And that was before the back/vertebrae injury. I cannot dispute this. The Sabres are going into MSG extremely shorthanded. I expect Lindy to reign in the offense and try to play road hockey and steal a point. With the lineup as is they can not go end to end with the Rangers. Maybe Connolly can man-up and maybe show up and play when the team really needs him. Then again why would this game be different than other games. For reasons already stated many times in other threads, this is nonsense. I agree! I also think Jochen should grow a pair and play too. I mean, the guy's got nine good fingers! He's 90% -- and can't suit up when his team needs him. Euro trash. Jochen Hecht -- too liberal. We can't afford four more years of Hecht-Bush policies. I'll echo Aud Smell's compliment of this one. When Hecht returns he will probably still have more games played this season than Tiny Timmy Connolly. I'm sure when ever Timmy's "back injury" heals something else will fall off. I do agree with the Bush comment. It's amazing that some people would even consider voting for McCain and a continuation of the Bush legacy of destruction. Perhaps you should just go back to bed?

I'd have to imagine that if they did call anyone up, it would be Mancari, Darche, or Zagrapan. It would be about experience at this point.

I think I heard/read Lindy say yesterday that it is based on who is playing the best at the time, and right now that is Mancari -- he might've gotten a hat trick in their 1st game?

Yep. Five point game playing on a line with Gerbe and Kennedy. Could make a good third NHL line.

Yeah, he did, but they've only played one game so far. It's pretty tough to judge at this point.
nfreeman Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Yeah, he did, but they've only played one game so far. It's pretty tough to judge at this point. I agree. I was just reporting that Lindy said at this point it would be Mancari.

Isn't part of his changes the taxing of benefits? Just what my wife and I need, another $30-$40 ripped from our respective paychecks so McCain can give tax breaks to his buddies.

May I ask what the hell any of this has to do with Hecht's broken hand, his possible replacement, or Tim being a wuss. I'm pretty sure there must be another thread or entire message board somewhere that people could bitch, cry, and make sarcastic remarks about politics because everyone everywhere is an expert. We know already, McCain is old as balls, needs diapers and is going to rip money from the poor and give it to his greedy buddys, and Obama is a smug socialist who is going to steal other peoples money and give it to people who don't deserve and is a sign of the apocolypse. There now i've gotten both arguments out of the way. Back to HOCKEY. Before a legitimate thread gets the old lock slapped on it :)

McCain was once a maverick (and respectable), but since 2006 he's been cozying up with the far-right-wingers and the Republican slime-machine to get the nomination. Maybe he'd revert back to being decent once elected, but I'm not going to take that bet.
