Strow Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 I saw the game and on TV they had the music turned up so high that you really couldn't get a feel if they where booing her or cheering.
cdexchange Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 She's just lucky there wasn't snow on the ground outside...how hilarious would that have been? Beyotch.
Ohiofan Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 On the news this morning they said that the fans also booed the home team during the first period. Just sayin'...it is Philly after all.
Two or less Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 On the news this morning they said that the fans also booed the home team during the first period. Just sayin'...it is Philly after all. Yeah.... after going down 4-0 to their rivals. People in Buffalo would have booed too. Even on opening night.

Two or less Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 The score was 4-0 in the first period? lol yeah. NYR dominated play and Marty Biron was pulled.
FogBat Posted October 13, 2008 Report Posted October 13, 2008 On the news this morning they said that the fans also booed the home team during the first period. Just sayin'...it is Philly after all. Flyers' fans reputation certainly precedes them. Why should we expect anything different from them?
jad1 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Let's just hope that the Flyers do as well this season as Palin did in her Katie Couric interview. That's right, I hate the Flyers that much.
FogBat Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 I hate the Flyers that much. I'd like to see what happens when they meet Craig Rivet. I imagine that they had a few run-ins with him when he played for the Habs.
nucci Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Flyers' fans reputation certainly precedes them. Why should we expect anything different from them? That's true but I would have booed also.
FogBat Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 That's true but I would have booed also. Not me! I would have cheered.
Bmwolf21 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Not me! I would have cheered. Not to turn this into a political thread, but why?
darksabre Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 When you have barackobamadotcommie in your sig, every thread is on the verge of political. <_<
FogBat Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 When you have barackobamadotcommie in your sig, every thread is on the verge of political. <_< I was actually trying to lay low this time and let things play out without any sort of instantaneous reaction. To answer Wolf's question, why should I not be happy for those dignitaries? You not only have a local hockey mom being recognized for her dedication to the sport, but you also have the world's most famous hockey mom out there as well. As Ed Snider, the owner of the Flyers, said, "It was maternally and not politically motivated." I rest my case.

Considering Ed Snider is a big supporter and contributor to the McCain-Palin campaign, I find it extremely hard to believe that the appearance was anything but a political ploy under the guise of "honoring a hockey mom," but to each his own.

B-)

bob_sauve28 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 I remember the Dallas game here a few years ago when Bill Clinton was at the game. We gave his a standing ovation, not a boo could be heard!

If I had known that he was there, I would have presented him with the keys to a custom-made - direct from Canada - Dodge Draft with direct financing straight from Indonesia courtesy of the Riady Brothers.
