LabattBlue Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 The team favored to win the Cup loses at home to the team favored to win the Tavares sweepstakes. Go figure!
inkman Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Woot. Why is alanis on right after? Did I miss something?
Two or less Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Not only did Toronto win, but they looked impressive. They looked like a team on a mission. They played with no fear and they skated very well. I'm not sure how long this can last with a team with such little fire power, but so far so good i guess.
inkman Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Now Def Leppard is on VS behind me, and they sound like complete shizit. WTF is Def Leppard on some hockey inauguration show on VS? Something is very wrong with this world...
Two or less Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Yeah i really don't know.... can we get the Boston/Colorado game coverage? Come on....
carpandean Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 So, how many big wins in their new thirds do think it will take before they go back to that as their primary? On a related note, anyone think we'll start the season in ours, too?

Buffalo Wings Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Now Def Leppard is on VS behind me, and they sound like complete shizit. WTF is Def Leppard on some hockey inauguration show on VS? Something is very wrong with this world... Were they the group on before the Toronto-Detroit game?
billsrcursed Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Were they the group on before the Toronto-Detroit game? Yes. Not sure about after the game though, as Ink said. I left for work at 10pm, but I know they def. played before the rising of the banner. They sucked then, too.

inkman Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Joe Elliot voice has seen better days... fixed
SMIRNOFF Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 I watched the 3rd period and Detroit didn't really even mount much of an offensive attack. They looked flat and listless. They probably figured they could just some out and win without trying. They did look unimpressive, though. As for Def Leppard after the game, I didn't mind it so much, but it seemed like Joe's microphone was turned down. That could have lead to him sounding like s**t. All I could hear was guitars. I would rather watch that before/after a game than any of that rap garbage anyways.
Hawerchuk Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 I was happy Detroit lost since I'm sick of them, but too bad it gave TOR 2 pts. The Leafs looked very good. Skating was defintely fast. I think Wilson as coach might make a big difference to this team unfortunately for us Sabre fans. Also, Boston looked real good too vs the Avs. Bergeron and Savard are dangerous. I also forgot they have Nylander. Buffalo needs to start off with a win tonight!!
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Speaking of Joe Elliott ... had he never SEEN the Stanley Cup before last night? he had it upside down ... http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_dadd...?urn=nhl,113984
