LabattBlue Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 I just read in the Buffalo News that Teppo who is in his 17th year in the NHL has never been on an NHL team that has won a playoff series. This years rally cry...."WIN ONE FOR TEPPO!!!!!"
LabattBlue Posted February 28, 2006 Author Report Posted February 28, 2006 ... or four. Now you're talking!! :)
Eleven Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 Bucky Gleason's article today (link is on the main page) more than implies that this season is it for Teppo. ("Unless the Buffalo Sabres win the Stanley Cup this season, Sunday's game was likely his last chance.") Why is that? I was pretty skeptical of signing him this past summer, but given his play this year, I'd give him another. One more year of age shouldn't make that much difference. My bet: he plays NHL hockey next year, even if the Sabres win it all this year. Granted, he likely won't make an Olympic team four years from now (by then at age 41), but who knows? Waddell and Laviolette could move to Finland or something.
mphs mike Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 Wasn't Borje Salming still playing at 41!
Saber61 Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 ... or four. agreed... never hurts :)
