Two or less Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 It's finally upon us. Let's see it.... how many SabreSpacers are going to attend the opener? I'm in 315! LETS GO BUFFALO
Bmwolf21 Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008  I'll be driving 40 minutes each way to cover a HS football game. Part of the reason why I'm not getting CI, at least for the first half of the season.
Ohiofan Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I'll be watching on CI. Does that count? I just paid a bazillion dollars for Direct Tv and Center Ice, spent the afternoon watching a stranger tromp around my house installing the boxes, cut a tree down in the backyard that obstructed the view of the dish, and paid an extra $75.00 to have the dish mounted on a pole. And I have to work on Friday night.
Derrico Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I won't be there but I'm jumpin on for the ride again this year.....Of course the wife's got a family thing going on friday night but I'll record it and make sure I'm back for the sunday game...... Cheers to a new year of Sabres hockey!
GreenDice Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 This game will be my first home opener ever. I hope they can come out of the gate storming and win the first game, especially important game against division favorite.
darksabre Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 The more important question is how many faces does Cappy break?
spndnchz Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 I'm there. Gonna scream my arse off! Let's GO Buff-a-lo! Montreal can take their ohwayo the #%^$#!o home! Let's get it ON!!!!
Hawerchuk Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Wish I could, but as a west coaster its a little tough. I do have CI though. I'm gonna try to catch them in PHX or ANA this year. LETS GO BUFFALO!!
R_Dudley Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Hoping like all hell my new access card is delivered by Friday so I can watch on CI.
R_Dudley Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 The more important question is how many faces does Cappy break? First game, division winner and division foes,,,,,, Hmmmm I'll take 2 as the dance card number please.
wonderbread Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 I'll will be traveling up to ellicottville for the Octoberfest.
Samson's Flow Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 something about starting against mon-ray-al scares the s@#$ out of me. Heres hoping that i'm wrong and we play some d.
Bmwolf21 Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Anyone have any idea how long it takes NHL.com or Sabres.com to post the game highlights after the game ends? I think that will be the majority of my Sabres viewing for the first few months... :(
shrader Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 My status for friday's game will be mentioned in the complaint thursday thread tomorrow.
Two or less Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Posted October 9, 2008 Anyone have any idea how long it takes NHL.com or Sabres.com to post the game highlights after the game ends? I think that will be the majority of my Sabres viewing for the first few months... :( I heard with the new multi-media section on team web sites, it won't be too long. I'd guess an hour or so after the game. You can also watch the the Hockey Hotline just hours after the game.
inkman Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 MSGHD, baby!! Fixed. Although I am in the conundrum of having to work the Red Sox and the Sabres into my schedule Friday night. Recording both, working until 8, having a co-worker/Red Sox fan over. So I guess the Sabres get pushed back until late Friday night/early Saturday morning.
apuszczalowski Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 If it wasn't for the fact that Friday is my last day of work before I am laid off, I would be there if I could find just 1 ticket. Unfortunatly, with just buying a house, and then getting notice of my layoff, money will be tight until I get a new job and a steady paycheck again. And this was going to be the year I get CI to go with my 52" TV
carpandean Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Fixed. For you, perhaps. Unfortunately, I am not "with the times" and have no HD capabilities.

You can also watch the the Hockey Hotline just hours after the game. Thanks. That will have to do for my hockey/Sabres fix for the next couple months.

Unfortunatly, with just buying a house, and then getting notice of my layoff, money will be tight until I get a new job and a steady paycheck again. And this was going to be the year I get CI to go with my 52" TV Sorry to hear that, apus. I wish you the best of luck. I will be watching on MSG, though TW-Albany says it will have the Rangers on MSGHD. Nevertheless, I'll be watching.

Its funny that the thing that pisses me off the most about it is that I can't afford Sabres and Bills tickets!
