tom webster Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 They both could be out till January. http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=251217&lid...=topStory_maine
stenbaro Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 The Bulin wall got waived in other news today...
Two or less Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 This is a huge hole for Pittsburgh to fill. It makes their re-signing of Brooks Oprik so much more important now. They only have 2 good lines. I mean Ruslan Fedetenko is on their 1st line. lol. Their defense was a question mark entering this season and now without 2 of their best and their PP QB, it will be trouble some for them.
nfreeman Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Good. Careful with that bad karma there. This is a huge hole for Pittsburgh to fill. darksabre Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Careful with that bad karma there. I'm sharing the sentiment of some others on this board, I'm sick of playing to karma and the hockey gods. Screw em. I'm glad the Pens blue line just got weaker and I ain't afraid to say it.
spndnchz Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Careful with that bad karma there. And Miro too, right? eeesh. Sat next to some guys from Pitt last game, they were talking it up about having Satan on the team. I had to inform them that he started going downhill when I was 11 years old and goalie need not be present for Satan to have a good season.
spndnchz Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 not to highjack but Khabibulin is looking to be traded with Huet in net for the Hawks. Ahh, drama, I f-in love it. I think he goes to the Senators, just sayin'.
R_Dudley Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 They both could be out till January.http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=251217&lid...=topStory_maine This is a huge blow to the penguins defense, penalty kill and Offense. Gonchar got huge minutes on Power play, penalty kill and as set up man moving puck up ice and at point even strength. It will be interesting to see how Therian plays this with what he has left. Sydor didn't get much ice time last year but that may be becuase he isn't up to it at 36, Letang is still only 21 and may not be up to it either..... Lets hope we get our games against when they are still struggling with adjusting the line-ups... Can't wait get to see hockey :worthy: kick off this weekend with two 2:30pm games overseas Pens against Ottawa Saturday and Sunday. Get to scout two teams we play, one in division and one from conference. I'll root for the Pens against ottawa in both... Still hate Ottawa more and plus their in our division it helps us more at this stage.

R_Dudley Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 We play the Pens once in Nov and once in Dec, well that amounts to making the playoffs right? Yeah when you consider we missed the last spot by 4 points last year, although we do play 2 more on the road in pittsburgh in that time frame as well so...... Lets get this season started... :D

spndnchz Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Do the Sens have the cap space? Gerber to Colorado, Bulin to Sens, cap space solved.
nobody Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Gerber to Colorado, Bulin to Sens, cap space solved. Do the Avs have the cap space? ;)
Two or less Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Gerber to Colorado, Bulin to Sens, cap space solved. From all i've read, Colorado is very high on Peter Budaj. I would be shocked if they get anyone else in there.
carpandean Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Gerber to Colorado, Bulin to Sens, cap space solved. Sens not interested. At least, they weren't at his current salary, but ... ... he cleared waivers.
nobody Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Sens not interested. At least, they weren't at his current salary, but ... ... he cleared waivers. I'd say the Kings are in play for him. As other threads have mentioned - they need to spend more money to get to the league minimum. What better way then to get a top tender?

He only has 1 year left on his deal and he could play and then have Jonathan Bernier ready for next season...
