Two or less Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I voted +71. I really think he'll be healthy for the first time for a full season. (mostly full)
Bmwolf21 Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I really don't know. I voted 36-52, but I wouldn't be surprised with either a 60-game or 20-game season. I do think that if he gets caught once with his head down, it's probably career over.
nfreeman Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I'm going with 69. And I don't even need to buy you a drink first? Nice! I voted 71+, but I'm an optimist. And it's a contract year.
Kristian Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I'm thinking 30-35. Next time his bell gets rung, he's gone for good, but he also gets stress fractures from conditioning training, and back spasms from pre-season games and camp? I sure hope Darcy's working the phones as we speak, but knowing Darcy I'd say that's a big fat "no way".
R_Dudley Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 I selected the 53-70,,,, with the caveat if he gets's 1st-2nd line minutes risk goes up and games go down to 48-53, if minutes are more like 3rd-4th line then we sqweak 65-70 games outta him.
JujuFish Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 Connolly's going to play about 75 games. I know, call me crazy, but I think this will be a good year for him.
spndnchz Posted September 30, 2008 Author Report Posted September 30, 2008 I'm thinking 30-35. Next time his bell gets rung, he's gone for good, but he also gets stress fractures from conditioning training, and back spasms from pre-season games and camp? I sure hope Darcy's working the phones as we speak, but knowing Darcy I'd say that's a big fat "no way". This brings up the other caveat. What if: we package Connolly AND max (notice CAP lock off)to another team for the vet center we always wanted. do we have enough to back up the winger/center loss? Again , both contract expiring players, at the deadline, yada yada...
Bmwolf21 Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 He'll play 65-70. 80 pts. Really? Averaging 1.14 -1.23 points per game when his career high is .87? That's going out on a limb there, Sherpa...
JujuFish Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Really? Averaging 1.14 -1.23 points per game when his career high is .87? That's going out on a limb there, Sherpa... 1.38 in the 05-06 playoffs.
rbochan Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I went with 36-52, figuring about 40 or so, with (hopefully) about 35 points. He's STILL skating with his head down and it's going to get him clobbered. Players dream of catching someone as good as him skating like that. :censored:
ROC Sabres Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 Put me down for 55 games. Just need to make sure this thread doesn't disappear until after april.
tom webster Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I voted 52 to 70. As much as I rag on him for his injuries, I expect him to play through some pain this year. On the other hand, I don't think he is as good as that 8 game stretch in the playoffs before Ottawa knocked him out. I see 65 games, 50 points and somebody else playing the second line pivot.
