PromoTheRobot Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 I think most Sabres fans were pulling for the Finns, but Sweeden desrves credit for a big win. Too bad the game-winning goal was a little flukey. PTR

Too bad the game-winning goal was a little flukey. PTR Flukey? It looked good to me. A great shot by a great player. Anyway. Congrats to all the Medal teams. I hope all North American hockey players and fans took a good look at these teams. Success based on skill and team work. Teams like Canada and the US were done as soon as it was clear they weren't going to be allowed to physically intimidate the other teams. Not by the other teams but by the officials who called great games. It was almost sad to see a player like Bertuzzi look foolish. There's no place for a player like him in a game based on skill. Hopefully the NHL will continue down that road and the Bertuzzi's of the world will become extinct. ;)
PromoTheRobot Posted February 26, 2006 Author Report Posted February 26, 2006 Flukey? It looked good to me. A great shot by a great player. Flukey in that it came 10 seconds into the period, and was a seeing-eye goal through a maze of players. PTR

Seannie34 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 it was scored after a Finn broke a stick on the opening face-off but besides that it was a really nice shot by Lidstrom
