Goodfella25 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 translation: Altavista http://www.rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/260344.html This is one of the weirdest things ever. I really hated him, but I have to admit it would be pretty cool to see a guy who is 5+ years removed from playing a professional hockey game make it back to the NHL.
Two or less Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 If Darren McCarthy could do it, i'm sure he can do. He's still strong and will punish anyone in front of the net and will stick up for teammates. I think he may be a real good fit in Chicago.
Bmwolf21 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Big difference between McCarty and Lemieux. McCarty was 35 when he started his "comeback" after being out of hockey for all of around six months. From what I can tell online, Lemieux hasn't played anything near a professional level since before the lockout (03-03, when lasted all of seven games with a Swiss team.) LEMIEUX LINK MCCARTY LINK
Two or less Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 WOW. He's 43! I missed that in the title. lol
Sabresince70 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 My kids favorite part of RJ's cd - Ray is ragdolling Lemieux!
Campy Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Semi-OT: Claude Lemieux attempting NHL comeback at age 43! I thought it was a joke It is.
evil_otto Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 Forgot what the show is called, where former pro sports atheletes take on average joes in different kinds of competitions. One of them was to get around Claude Lemieux and put the puck in the net. Lemieux looked old but he was still schooling all of the contestants pretty good. It would be interesting to see if he could reprise his old role in the HHL.
