Eleven Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Wow. Time-Warner decided to show s something about some shopping channel that no one cares about, and we missed Gerbe's goal. 3-2. But I'm not yet ready to retract my thanks that someone put up the game on MSG for us non-HD folks.
SwampD Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I really can't wait to see what he becomes.
Eleven Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I really can't wait to see what he becomes. If you mean Gerbe, I know! He could be incredible, he could be too small, he could be Theo Fleury, but it's going to be fun in any event to watch.

Is it me or did this game just get serious.
Eleven Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I don't know what it is but the kid has somethin'. Is it me or did this game just get serious. It did just become a good game. Please, no one let the announcers in on this. They're pleasantly sleepy, and have been all game.
carpandean Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Is it me or did this game just get serious. It does seem to be picking up a little in intensity. Gerbe is going to be fun to watch; no doubt!
FogBat Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I don't know what it is but the kid has somethin'. Is it me or did this game just get serious. I'm completely in the dark. What is the score now?
carpandean Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I'm completely in the dark. What is the score now? 3-2 Habs
Two or less Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 ^^ 3-2 Montreal. 4 minutes to go. Gerbe and Roy goals for Buffalo and Gerbe is the best Sabre tonight imo and in the opinion of the announcers.
Eleven Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I'm completely in the dark. What is the score now? 3-2 Habs lead. And turn some lights on or light a candle or something.
SabresFan526 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Gerbe had a rocket shot on the goal. I'm also very excited to see how he will turn out. I really think he will have a lot of success in the NHL. Not only that, I think he could very well be on the team by January full time.
Guest Sloth Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 And two of the goals against were shorthanders? I, too, am in the dark. Wish I could've seen Gerbe's goal.

But keep in mind that these college guys usually need a year in the AHL just to get used to the 80+ game schedule, as compared to college.
FogBat Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 3-2 Habs lead. And turn some lights on or light a candle or something. Figure of speech. IOW, I can't get a feed and I don't have XM anymore. Cynic :chris: :nana:

SwampD Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I guess that ref didn't want to go to overtime...kinda funny. No way he does that in the regular season.
darksabre Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I guess the good thing to take from that game is that Gerbe is definitely going to be good!
SabresFan526 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 That was kind of cheap that they dropped the puck without the Sabres being there. I'm also a little surprised the Sabres didn't take a timeout at that time to set up a play. But, whatever, the game is meaningless. I felt Gerbe played really well, and I'm excited to see how this team will play when more than just 7-10 regulars are out there.
carpandean Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I guess that ref didn't want to go to overtime...kinda funny. No way he does that in the regular season. That was some kind of bulls**t.
Eleven Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 There's a very lovely post-game ceremony. Something about how the Germans eventually were forced to leave France in '45 or something. I can't quite understand it all.
Two or less Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I guess that ref didn't want to go to overtime...kinda funny. No way he does that in the regular season. That was a bull #%^$#! way to end a game. Esspicially since the penalty happened with 14 seconds to go but they counted it down to 8 seconds. You'd think we'd get a break since we lost a few seconds.

They knew we would have scored with 7 seconds and won in overtime.
carpandean Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 As Teddy KGB said near the end of Rounders, "I feel so un-syat-tees-fied."
wjag Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I guess that ref didn't want to go to overtime...kinda funny. No way he does that in the regular season. That was ridiculous.. Give Buffalo a PP and then drop the puck when no one is looking to end the game...
