Bmwolf21 Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Please tell me he didnt admit that..This coach is more retarded thatn I thought.. LINK His comments (starts around 3:39 of the clip linked): "I should have taken the challenge flag and and run onto the field with it. I threw it on the sideline, and clearly they couldn't see it. "I didn't think - from my vantage point it just looked like a catch, you know, and I got some information - you know, we always talk if it's close, so as I started to get more information, I thought it was a challenge. I pulled it out and dropped it there, so it was all me. I need to get down the field, because they can't see it there." Dickie J, folks - he'll be here till 2012. Try the veal.

Great, three additional seasons of 7-9. Let's look at the leadership of this team. A senile Owner. A "GM" with no football experience. A career loser Head Coach. They took advantage of a early cake schedule and now the teams true self is revealed. That can't run the ball and they can't pass protect. They get zero pass rush unless they send six or seven. The defensive live with all that money poured in to it may be one of the worst in football. And let me be the first to say that Paul Posluszny is just a average linebacker.
darksabre Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 And let me be the first to say that Paul Posluszny is just a average linebacker. This we can agree on. I don't see what the big deal is about Posluszny.

I agree with all and just want to add: They dumped all that money into the o-line last year and they still can't protect the QB or open a hole for the RBs. They overpaid for a bunch of fat lazy bastards.

The Bills should be looking to get money back not give him a raise. Is it safe to say this Monday Night Game against the Browns may be one of the worst of the season? Two teams going nowhere. They should save football fans everywhere the time and just skip the game and declare the winner of the coin toss winner of the game. The really sad thing is the Bills have three cream puffs in a row coming up. They will probably be 8-4 and fans will be stupid enough to fall back into the trap thinking this team is a playoff team.
nobody Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Boy, that was a bad Buffalo sports weekend.
inkman Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Awesome start. Bullschitt roughing call and a fantastic job by Jauron challenging the Welker catch. Way to go, Dick... I pretty much knew it was over then. Usually only a handful of plays determine the outcome of any given game and I felt those two were HUGE!
Claude Balls Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 I pretty much knew it was over then. Usually only a handful of plays determine the outcome of any given game and I felt those two were HUGE! Once the Bills went three and out and then the Pats coasted down the field, and DJ "dropped" the flag, he basically dropped the ball and I knew it was gonna be a long day. And you also knew the refs were going to bone us again, with that horsecrap roughing call. How is a guy supposed to stop his momentum and not hit the WR who usually catches everything thrown to him anyways? But Wilfork can spear Edwards and that's okay. Although the Bills didn't need any bad calls to lose this game, they did a fine job of screwing themselves, as usual.

I haven't checked the schedule, but unless the nest three games are Detroit, Detroit and Detroit; the Bills won't win the next three. The Bills are a bad team. Possibly the worst 5-4 team in the NFL this year and maybe ever. They can't run the ball. They can't stop the run. They are out coached weekly. Their QB play gets worse every week. They have NO pass rush. Every team they play, plays more physical than Buffalo. The Bills benefited from an easy schedule, a ridiculous perfect storm of opponents injures and getting teams ripe for defeat. The tables have turned and I would be surprised if the Bills win 2 more games. They are horrible and this week may be the last I watch this year.

I still have the hope things will turn around. Back in 2003, I can't remember the year and I'm too lazy to look it up, but the Raiders started out 4-0, but they lost their next 4 games. After 8 games they were 4-4, but they got back on track and went to the Super Bowl. The Raiders had the players and the coaching to do that. Buffalo doesn't... Watch the Bills be in position at the end of the season where all they have to do is win game 16 and they're in, but they'll screw it up just like they did against Pittsburg when Bledsoe was in town. That would not surprise me at all.

Jauron's inability to execute a simple challenge and his horrible clock management cost the Bills points on Sunday. Or, at least the chance at points. Jauron may be the worst game day coach in the NFL. He is continuing the recent tradition of bad coaching hires by this franchise. There is a positive side though. After this season we will have only three more seasons to watch Jauron stand on the sidelines and do nothing as plays go unchallenged and time outs get wasted.

Buffalo Fan Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Did Lee Freakin Evans even play?? This is brutal
darksabre Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Maybe he needs glasses so he'll stop missing open receivers.
Buffalo Fan Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Maybe he needs glasses so he'll stop missing open receivers. I've been thinking the offensive line was bad but man, he must have averaged 4 seconds in the pocket almost every pass play.
Bmwolf21 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Chickensh-- coaching and chickensh-- quarterbacking cost us this game. Nothing else.
Knightrider Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Did it have to be a 47 yard wide right field goal? Did it really? :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: Unfreaking believable... I should have just gone to bed.
Chief Enabler Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Did Lee Freakin Evans even play?? This is brutal I think he had more tackles than catches :D
carpandean Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Did it have to be a 47 yard wide right field goal? Did it really? :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: Unfreaking believable... I should have just gone to bed. Jim Kelly must have been having flashbacks on the sideline. I bet you that Lindell was thinking "don't kick it wide right, don't kick it wide right, ..." Whenever you focus too hard on trying to not do something, you usually end up doing. Just like on Edwards' third pic; you know he was thinking "don't throw an interception, don't throw an interception, ..."
Bmwolf21 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I think he had more tackles than catches :D I don't think they threw to him once. Trent was channeling Kelly Holcomb for most of the night and firing lasers at his running backs coming out of the backfield. Thankfully I missed the first quarter (due to work) but until that throw to Royal on the last drive, I didn't see a single NFL-caliber throw from Trent all game.
darksabre Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 If Jim Kelly is going to spend the entire game on the sidelines shadowing Jauron then why doesn't he just take the damn headset away from Dickie and start calling plays himself. It's obvious he still wants to be involved.

I guess some guys are not buying into the system. Get with it Lee! Sorry, I'm afraid to ask what Jaurons' system is

Sorry, I'm afraid to ask what Jaurons' system is  Play not to lose. Limit mistakes. We don't outsmart the other team, we out-execute them. And when the chips are down, tuck your tail between your legs and hope you don't get beat too bad.

It's obvious he still wants to be involved. Ya know, it's no accident he's on the sideline. And with the commish in town talking about the future of the Bills, no mistake that Kelly's mug ends up on TV about six times. The only hope left for Bills fans is that Kelly and his group can buy the team and Kelly can put his stamp on this woeful franchise: tough, gutsy and smart -- a winner. What's Lynch on, anyway? Creep.
