McJeff215 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 So, I just got a Sabres themed message that said "Be the FIRST to get your Sabres tickets when they come to town! The Sabres play the Thrashers on...." So sometime, somewhere, I filled out a form that identified me as a Sabres fan living in Atlanta. I don't remember doing so. I like the fact that they pitched it as a Sabres message and not another Thrashers themed thing. Taking advantage of out of towners and whatnot I guess.

I'm pretty sure the NHL asked that when I signed up for CI Online last year... Maybe if you have CI?
frisky Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Or perhaps if you do the fan surveys on NHL.com.
Hirly5 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 I got a similar email for the Sabres in DC. I am assuming it comes from the fact that I signed up for Sabres Insider and my address is in Virginia so the NHL links those two facts to give you a Sabres themed email for the closest NHL team in your area.
nobody Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 One of the "benefits" of having all of the team websites controlled by the league.
inkman Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I really thought this was going to be another slam against the NHL, much to my disappointment, it's a positive thread.
RayFinkle Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Somebody forgot to wear their tin foil hat to bed...now they know EVERYTHING.
X. Benedict Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Somebody forgot to wear their tin foil hat to bed...now they know EVERYTHING. I'm waiting for the first team to have fan controlled line changes. Maybe San Jose will try it. That's Silicon Valley.
amacc Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Too bad they don't know what our third jersey looks like. WTF http://shop.nhl.com/product/index.jsp?prod...dy_bestsell_txt http://shop.nhl.com/family/index.jsp?f=PAD...Sabres&pg=9 This is the same league that sent me a Center Ice mailer with my name on the back of a Penguins jersey. Anybody else get this from direct tv?
X. Benedict Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Curious, but did anyone notice that the CIA - Central Intelligence Agency is advertising on the Leafs homepage on the right hand side? http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/
