Anyone who read some of the political stories about Golisano and Pigeon can see that the paper doesn't give a damn what TG thinks of them.
LabattBlue Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Nice write up by Bucky. Myers will need to add another 20-25 pounds, but he has plenty of time(2-4 years) to do it while adding muscle at the same time. There have been so many good things written about Gerbe & Butler that I'd be surprised if they don't contribute at some point during the season.
shrader Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I forget the exact moment, but that has been the tone of most of his recent Sabres stories.
tom webster Posted September 19, 2008 Author Report Posted September 19, 2008 I forget the exact moment, but that has been the tone of most of his recent Sabres stories. I think it has been awhile but it seems to have gone unnoticed by more then a few here.
shrader Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I think it has been awhile but it seems to have gone unnoticed by more then a few here. I want to say it was around the time of the Campbell deal. Yes, he had his negatives there, but he realized that it was a necessity.
nucci Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I don't mind negative articles. His just seemed to personal.
carpandean Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I went to college (18 year old, same as Myers is now) as a 5' 11", 155 lbs freshman and graduated at 6' 2", 195 lbs. I didn't become a weight lifter and could easily have put on 20 lbs more of muscle (and probably dropped 5-10 lbs of fat) if I had played professional-level hockey. Mostly, it was just my frame naturally filling out from gangly to "normal". I doubt Myers will gain any more height, but he probably will fill out a bit in addition to packing on muscle by lifting. I'll bet that he's at 230-235 lbs by the time he is 20.
ROC Sabres Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Even Bucky wants to take shots at max. Believe me, it?s not going to take long for this town to become smitten with Nathan Gerbe, the 5-foot-5 stick of dynamite who showed more in rookie camp this week than Maxim Afinogenov did last season.

I noticed and I actually do not mind and like questioning authority and/or decisions as long as it not's personilzed. Thats how we as fans learn more about the long term plan and actually get to see they have one even if we don't always agree with all of it or the steps used to get there. I also noticed the gerbe compliment/max bash tucked in there.... Nice...
