bob_sauve28 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 http://www.hockeybuzz.com/cap-central/team.php?team=BUF This is cool if you haven't seen it
inkman Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 I prefer this site. #%^$#! hockeybuzz!
carpandean Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 That's cool for the AHL players' numbers. Otherwise, I just use nhlnumbers.com for NHL salaries and contracts. Edit: Ink is too quick for me.
nobody Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Interesting that Weber is actually making less this year compared to last year.
inkman Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Edit: Ink is too quick for me. That's what she said. Oh, wait... :(
Two or less Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 I also prefer NHL Numbers but it is pretty cool that they include AHL saleries.
JohnRobertEichel Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 HockeyBuzz seems better. They've got the minor leaguers, plus their site looks to be more up-to-date.
shrader Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Why not list their AHL salaries too since the majority of those guys will never see the NHL portion of their contracts.
norfend Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 According to NHL numbers, we have the oldest team in our division(average age wise). I did not expect that.
nobody Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 According to NHL numbers, we have the oldest team in our division(average age wise). I did not expect that. It's all Teppo's doing!
carpandean Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 According to NHL numbers, we have the oldest team in our division(average age wise). I did not expect that. It may be the same for other teams, but that age comes from the players that are listed as playing 186 days. Right now, that includes: Michael Ryan (28) Nolan Pratt (32) Jocelyn Thibault (33) These will be replaced by: Patrick Kaleta (22) or Clarke MacArthur (23) Andrej Sekera (22) Nobody (we don't carry three goalies) With those changes, our average age drops to 27.8. If you look at the forwards who are above average, you get: Max, Kotalik, Mair, Peters and Jochen. Of those, only Jochen is even close to a core player. Other than Mair, the rest will likely be gone after this season. Our core forwards are: Vanek (24), Roy (25), Pommer (25), Gaustad (26) and then guys like Paille (24) and Stafford (22). That's the "young" part of our team that everyone talks about. Our defense, on the other hand, is not young. Only Paetsch and Sekera are below 29. Even with them, our average age on D is over 30 (compared to 26 on O.) Of course, if you just swapped Numminen for Weber our average age on D would drop to 27.5 and our total average age would drop to under 27.
