jimiVbaby Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 ^^ no problem. I switched so we should be good. EDIT: At least I think so...?0 EDIT OF EDIT: now it looks ok.
Two or less Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 Thank you. 2 Spots open in the 2nd league. I still gotta get someone to be commish.... so i can leave the league.
spndnchz Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 What actually does the commish do? smoke cigars and tell Bill Clinton jokes.
Two or less Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 What actually does the commish do? If need be, changes the time/day of draft. In leagues where nobody really knows each other there may be a bit more, like updating lineups for other teams, locking owners, veto'ing trades but since we're all a "family" you won't have problems of cheating since everyone knows each other. If the draft time is a bad for for most people, you'll need to switch it to keep the people happy, but thats it. haha Want it? I have to leave the league soon to join another league (paid league from work) and i'm already in 3 leagues. lol.
Two or less Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 Weasel - im trying to get this photo as my picture on yahoo sports. http://www.theoneandonlynorthpole.com/avat...nnection70s.jpg But each time i re-size it to 100x100 and make it on my avatar on yahoo, it's very blurry. Any ideas?
Two or less Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 BTW, league 2 is NOW full, until someone agrees to be commish so i can exit the league which will open up one last spot!
Two or less Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 ChileanSeaBass is the commish for the 2nd league and i have just left the league, so league two has ONE opening left.... first come, first serve.
nobody Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Hey spndnchz or inkman - come join the league!
Sabre11 Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Hey spndnchz or inkman - come join the league! I joined
Two or less Posted September 11, 2008 Author Report Posted September 11, 2008 Perfect. Both leagues are now full.
spndnchz Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Hey spndnchz or inkman - come join the league! I'm in a league of my own. Just kidding, no time with college to do it right.
darksabre Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 If anyone is looking for another league to play in, I'm in another league that needs a few members. League ID: 16883 League Name: SQFHL Password: Sergei92
Taro T Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Greg or anyone else interested in this fantasy league. In events in the past week, I have had my discretionary free time significantly curtailed. If anyone is interested in taking my spot in the 2nd SS league, send me a PM and I will drop out of the league. If not, I'll stay in the league and expect to get thumped. :( The draft is tomorrow (Tuesday) night, so letting me know tonight or tomorrow AM will probably be necessary to let me be able to drop the team.
Two or less Posted September 23, 2008 Author Report Posted September 23, 2008 Draft for LEAGUE ONE is also tomorrow!
Chief Enabler Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Draft for LEAGUE ONE is also tomorrow! I was just checking out the settings and scoring. Is there a page showing how much for a goalie win or does it go by saves/goals? I was basically looking for a scoring table. I have never done a yahoo hockey league before. See you guys tonight 8:30!
LabattBlue Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Could someone give me a quick summary of how head-to head play works? It is straight forward in football, but I'm new to fantasy hockey. Thanks!

It is straight forward in football, but I'm new to fantasy hockey. Thanks! New as well... So anything I say is bound to be corrected. My impression is that you set your lineup once per week maximizing the number of times your players play. Some weeks you will be playing more against less and others less against more. I suspect over the course of the long season, you hope it balances out.

I personally would like to have the ability to change the starting players everyday just like all of my fantasy baseball leagues.

I, too, find myself with little time to prepare. If I do nothing, will the league draft for me? I figure I can tweak it later. Like Blue I haven't done a hockey league before so I am prepared to take my lumps early.
inkman Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Hey spndnchz or inkman - come join the league! I retired from Fantasy years ago, now I'm stuck in reality. :(
