Since no one seems to care,

Bubba Thornton, head coach of the track team, was a 14th round selection of the Buffalo Bills in the 1969 draft. Hence the O.J. Simpson reference.

Played one year as a kick return specialist. I'm pretty sure I saw him return a kick for a TD in a pre-season game against Oakland but I can't verify this.

I can't believe I think I remember seeing Alvin Wyatt return a preseason kick for a TD against the Raiders. It sticks out in my mind because I called into the radio show a couple of days later, got through, and asked him a brilliant question like "how does it feel to be the first player to score for the Bills this season". As you can tell I never made it as a journalist!

I can't believe that I remember that also and I was probably listening to Stan Baron when you called in. Its sad that I can't remember anything from four years of SUNY at UB but I can remember Alvin Wyatt returning a kick or Bill Enyart missing a block causing OJ to blow out a knee and miss his second season.
