Stoner Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 A masterpiece. How warm is it today where you are? 80s? 90s? Prepare for a chill.
SarasotaSabre Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 A masterpiece. How warm is it today where you are? 80s? 90s? Prepare for a chill. the video was great, but, um.....I could do without the sappy love song. Not exactly inspiring. Doesn't get my vote for the "best ever"
Bmwolf21 Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 the video was great, but, um.....I could do without the sappy love song. Not exactly inspiring. Doesn't get my vote for the "best ever" Glad I'm not the only one who didn't get chills.
Eleven Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Is that the old A&E "Biography" logo in the bottom right of the first section (focusing on the French Connection)? Sure looks like it. Wonder who was featured on the program for that episode.
wjag Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 I can't go with best ever. It didn't even show the Pomminstein shorty against Ottawa. That goal was one of the most important goals in Sabres' history. I forsee a bunch of YouTube videos popping up. Good summer fun.
Stoner Posted July 27, 2008 Author Report Posted July 27, 2008 It was a thematic video, maybe a bit too sophisticated for you gents. :) It wasn't meant to be every greatest moment strung together. The music to me was perfect. Anyhow... let's see your links of best Sabres YouTube video. The pickings are pretty slim.

I actually just watched "Top Shelf" this morning (RJ documentary, I'm sure you all know). Best Sabres video not on youtube, that I can think of.
deluca67 Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 There was one video of two hot girls wearing only the old school Sabres jerseys "celebrating" a victory. If I can find it again I will post it  Also, No video will ever beat the video one of the local news broadcasts showed back in the late '70's with #11's greatest highlights to Carly Simon's 'Nobody Does it Better'.
thesportsbuff Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Well I'm sure you've all seen these before, but these two videos put me on the brink of tears everytime i watch them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1M-3iol8Pg
Eleven Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Everything about this video reminds me of good things: Had the folks over so they could do some laundry and watch hockey--there was no power in a lot of Buffalo, but I somehow lucked out--and got treated to this.

A "thematic" video, maybe a "bit too sophisticated" ?....PUHLEEZE, clue us minions in, I'm holding my breath.... The music to you was perfect, to me it was sappy - to each his own.

Hawerchuk Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Yeah, pretty good video, but the music was lame. Too slow for hockey. Where was the Pommer goal?!?!
BetweenThePipes00 Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 22 seconds of slow-motion artistry ...
rickshaw Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Seriously, not one single clip of the greatest scorer in franchise history??? How can that be a greates Sabre video ever, if Mogilny doesn't get a single clip??
Stoner Posted July 27, 2008 Author Report Posted July 27, 2008 A "thematic" video, maybe a "bit too sophisticated" ?....PUHLEEZE, clue us minions in, I'm holding my breath.... The music to you was perfect, to me it was sappy - to each his own. I thought the lyrics were perfect -- not so much the music. Just kind of refreshing to not have to hear Hurricane 2000 for the 1,000th time.
Stoner Posted July 27, 2008 Author Report Posted July 27, 2008 Yeah, pretty good video, but the music was lame. Too slow for hockey. Where was the Pommer goal?!?! Where were 10 other goals that were just as big? I rest my case.

bottlecap Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 music was sad-sounding. the team's inability to finish has been sad too so I'd say perfect music.
Stoner Posted July 28, 2008 Author Report Posted July 28, 2008 I'd say the music was more poignant than sad. But, I get it -- it wasn't on Jock Jams, so it doesn't work for this audience.
