Sabres interested in Nagy?

Buffalo, Atlanta, and Florida have made offers to winger Ladislav Nagy. Vancouver and Carolina have also shown an interest in Nagy. Vancouver is waiting on Sundin so they seem unlikely at this point. Carolina has to move some salary to sign Nagy because they are very close to their self imposed cap.

 

How legit this web site is? I don't know. lol. I just thought this was interesting because honestly i always thought Nagy would fit well in our system. Good passer, very quick, has an attitude and is one of the leagues top defensive forwards.

Didn't he play on a line with Hecht in St. Louis when they both broke into the NHL?

 

If we signed him I really wouldn't get it. He doesn't fill any of our needs. We have enough soft wingers. We need toughness up the middle and a true #2 center that can win draws, not a tin man who will surely find his way to the IR yet again this season. I'm sorry, I like Connolly, but that is the truth. His career is pretty much shot IMO. He's just one of those guys that will never get over the injury bug.

 

There really isn't anything left at forward in the free agent market that could help us.
