nobody Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 The Sabres will get him resigned - I am not worried about this. Plus, Pommers is going to be a RFA after the season - the Sabres will match whatever offer sheet he gets.
Guest Sloth Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Whatever offer is made by another will be more than what Sabres could get for him now.
outlaw16511 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Pomminstein's new long term deal will be announced at Puck Drop 2008. I truly feel we'll find out he's been signed at the arena on Saturday.

LabattBlue Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 ...the Sabres will match whatever offer sheet he gets. ...this is the root of the problem. You don't want to let it get to the point where another team is dictating how much you should pay for a player(in this case an offer sheet). It's all about being proactive, not reactive.

You think management would've learned this by now. Vanek should've, and I thought it was, been a wake up call for the front office. Today is Wednesday. Buffalo has two more days...unless the deadline was a rumor.

Bmwolf21 Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Can't wait for Eklund to pick up on this. He's probably posting it as an e5 as we speak.

nobody Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 GR says just over $5 million per year for 5 years. Great deal if those are the numbers!!
Bmwolf21 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 GR says just over $5 million per year for 5 years. Great deal if those are the numbers!! Did they finally get a 5-for-$25 deal done? Bucky might faint...
nobody Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 With inflation it will probably be 5 for 27.5!
wjag Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 GR says just over $5 million per year for 5 years. Great deal if those are the numbers!! Pretty reasonable. That can't upset Roy either.... Not bad if true...
That Aud Smell Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 GR says just over $5 million per year for 5 years. Great deal if those are the numbers!! just a little high for my taste, but more than reasonable. i'd have thought they'd get him for 6/29.35, or something like that. but given where the market's headed, and moreover where this guy's game is headed, this probably ends up being a good deal for the team.
spndnchz Posted September 18, 2008 Author Report Posted September 18, 2008 Compared to this: anything under 6 is cheap in my book. High five Pominville. Thank you sir. Now get 'r dun.
nobody Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 I was easily thinking 6 minimum with what others were getting. Is this a "home team discount" that we just saw?!
spndnchz Posted September 18, 2008 Author Report Posted September 18, 2008 Darcy on GR http://den-a.plr.liquidcompass.cc/etm_plr/...ype=silverlight hope it works for ya.
nobody Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Darcy just mentioned that Teppo has a no trade clause and there are others that have limited no trade clauses where there are certain teams that they can reject. Interesting.
spndnchz Posted September 18, 2008 Author Report Posted September 18, 2008 Darcy said that they look at points ice time top 20 in scoring salary of other like him age He compared, or should I say his agent, compared him to Carter: Carter, Jeff PHI 4.500 5.250 5.250 RFA so I would say he's at 5.25 million average thru 2013-2014 season

wjag Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 If that's the case then Pommers needs a new agent! I think Peter's agent is looking for work...
nobody Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 5 year for 26.5 million according to WGR.
