Ask and you shall receive... also this picture is freaking great, I will never view the Pokemon the same again.

What about this one? I actually enjoyed the movie. But a tv series based on a movie does not always do well....

So quit making them!

With the exception of Ash vs the Evil Dead I agree.

Joining hockey and complaints:  There is NFW I can watch past the second period tonight.  I am dead tired (woke up in the middle of the night with a sex dream with guess who) and I have the trainer in the am.  I need a blowout (not the hairstyle, chz) by the end of the second, badly.

There is just too much talking. People really need to shut up. I'm not sure some are capable of it, though.

Don't mind the talking. Do get tired of the complaining though. Oh, wait.... lol

In all seriousness, people, not making reference to this board, complain too much. Unless it's something that really needs to be talked about, I don't want to hear it.

Beyond frustrated. This is supposed to be when we help our kids off to college and really start socking away $$ for retirement. And we cant really do either yet. I miss the oughts. Good years for us that seem like they never happened now.

Wife lost her job. Again. Between the two of us we've been in this loop for 4+yrs now. The recovery that almost was...

:(  That sucks, weave.

My dad is having his next round of surgery on the 27th for jaw reconstruction, and I can't afford to fly back again (or take time off work) to be there.    He's going to be in the hospital in Baltimore for a week, and my stepmom wants to just stay there with him but they're struggling to find someone to take care of their dog.  Her family are a bunch of useless idiots who care about nothing outside of themselves and her friends are unreliable.  She actually asked her sister to stay at their house the night of the surgery to take care of the dog and she said no.    I'm going to try and pay for an in-home pet-sitting service they've used before to buy them some peace of mind, but it won't be cheap.  People suck.

VW is apparently going to the federal judge today with a plan to offer a buyback of all their affected diesel cars, as well as a $5000 settlement with every customer, in order to avoid to going to trial.

http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2016/04/volkswagen-poised-to-offer-a-mass-buyback-program/

I really don't want to have my car bought back, but I think the other option is to let VW "fix" it, which I hate even more, because there's no way I want to own a car long term that isn't working the way it was designed to. No bueno.

I'd be crazy not to sell my car back to VW. But man, I don't like ANYTHING else out there right now. Everything else in the Golf class is just terrible looking and has zero appeal. I really didn't want to go back to a truck or an SUV, but I don't think there would be any reason for me to stay in the hatchback segment without the TDI Golf. Lord knows I'm not going anywhere near VW when this mess is all over with. The GTI would be the only car I'd be interested in there and it's really no better on gas than a lot of much larger and more practical cars. I could get a stripped down fullsize Ram with their extremely good Diesel that would get just a little less MPG than the GTI.

Not happy about this whole thing. I'll take that $5000 settlement and use it to pay off all of my credit card debt, and I'll take that buyback money and go somewhere else, but I won't be happy about it. I love my car.

Looks like you're getting between $1k and $7k, if you still have your car.

I've got it. I expect lessees like myself who leased during the "clean diesel" ad campaigns will get more than those who leased or bought before "clean diesel" came up. I'll get a lease opt out option along with whatever compensation is determined as part of the separate false advertising stuff.

We should know on the 28th when this whole package is due to be submitted.

My gramma passed about a week and a half ago. My mom said that it was very peaceful and she seemed ready to go.

I'm sad that she's gone, but it really must've been sweet release after being trapped in her own demented mind for so long. She was never a particularly happy lady, but sometimes I could tell that she was aware and frustrated with her lack of ability to complete the circuits in her head.

I'm happy that my mom is free of the burden. She's 63 and deserves some rest and relaxation in her life. If only I believed that she knew how to relax.

It's going to be really strange to come home to an empty basement.

My condolences, Qwk.

God the job application process is horrible. Never felt so lowly about myself. And having friends who sh!t on all my potential decisions (or lack thereof.. not a lot of options in Buff apparently) is not helping. So many mental meltdowns. I think I've hit my quota for the decade. I mean, this is only the biggest decision I've ever made on my own in my life. No big deal.

My condolences, qwk.  You should take whatever comfort you can from knowing that she was surrounded by love and family, and that you all did the best that you could by her while she was here.  She's free and whole again now.

My mom is horribly in debt and on a path to needing to declare bankruptcy for the third time in her adult life.  I love her dearly, but I don't know any way to help and it's hard watching the self-destructive cycle repeat itself.
