I realized after I posted that I had taken advantage of mod privileges by posting in a locked thread. Poor performance on my part. However, I stand by my position regarding American cheese.

I've tried many cheeses on burgers, and my friends always use provolone, I just can't do it. American is the only one that works for me, and just beef without any cheese doesn't cut it either. shrader Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 The parking garage here at work is shared between employees and patients/visitors. They have separate entrances and there are divider rails to keep the two sections separate. They're upgrading the gates right now though and because of it, the guest entrance is shut down and the divider rails have been removed. There's been a massive traffic jam each day this week because of it. It took me about 20 minutes to get out yesterday around 4:30. There normally is no delay at all. The thing that confuses me is that over the past month when they started with upgrading the employee entrance, they were able to leave it open and let cars go in and out. This time with the guest entrance, they have shut down the whole thing and blocked it off. I'd imagine that this is because they can still collect money from the guests this way. That's all well and good, but with the extra cars added to the fact that our new gates don't work properly yet, it all creates such an unnecessary mess.

I can see how she might not be up for the shopping right now though.

Havent started and theres so many people I should buy a gift for. However I have no time as I am still finishing up a massive kitchen remodel. Mind just won't turn off at night. And, we had our company holiday party yesterday. They did it on site, catered in the company auditorium at lunch time. I couldn't make it. I work evenings and there was alot of work that needed to get out so I had to come in at my normal time, which is several hours after the party ended. Found out that they have random drawings for some gifts. Apparently I "won" a $50 gift cert to a restaurant. Except I wasn't there to claim it, and apparently you need to be there to claim it. So it was re-drawn and given to someone else. <_< I think I have myself convinced that a $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse would have cost me more money anyway after a couple of drinks and gas to get there was factored in. Similar here (4 hrs each of the last couple nights), although for me it's not insomnia; just lack of time. By about this time of the day I'm fighting to keep from falling asleep sitting at my desk. So very tired. And FedEx. I've complained about them before, but really, f*ck FedEx. I had placed an online order a couple weeks back, and after it posted to my credit card I checked their website and saw it had been scheduled to ship with FedEx on Nov. 20th. On Nov. 26th it still hadn't been picked up and I emailed the vendor to ask if they could check on it. No response. Emailed again on Dec. 1st, and as of today, still no response. It's been TWO WEEKS since the shipping label was generated and no movement by FedEx. Clearly the package was misplaced or lost, but no one will take responsibility for it. Something similar happened last December when I placed an order that was supposed to go FedEx and instead seemed to disappear from existence. :censored:
