The daylight hours being so short.

I don't mind that the days get a bit shorter this time of the year, but not this much.

June and July it seems its still a bit light out at times until almost 10pm.

Maybe if this time of the year it was like that until 6pm or 6:30. But these days where dark right around 5pm..just too much.

Shopping around holidays. I always forget until that time of year rolls around. Then I have to go into public and am sad that Mt Vesevius isn't around to go off and bury humanity in ash again.

Carry on (carrion?!) 😆

We’ve always tried to keep hockey out of here. So there’s my complaint, people have to let it take over every single inch of this board.

Never realized that, sorry homie.

Agreed but can you imagine if internet shopping wasn't a thing?  You'd be wishing for Chicxulub all over again.

Can't argue here.

Those asteroids hit every 100 million years or so.... I think we'll see one hit before the Sabres make the playoffs

Everyone gets mad at me when I say I want snow.... If it's gonna be dark and crappy out, let it fly.

This is The earliest I've been out skiing in a while and I'd like to keep that going.

Today, I was on the I-90 and I-290 going to the UB women's basketball game.  The aggressive, uncoordinated, incoherent, and mindless driving that I witnessed was a sight to behold.  How I did not see at least three multiple vehicle pile-ups is beyond me.

Ads online. They are getting even worse.

I'll go to websites that I am visiting to GIVE THEM MONEY (buy stuff) or go to web sites that I pay to subcribe to and am getting blased with more ads than ever.

I love how they load every part of the website except for a strategically placed ad.  The kind where once I think the full site has loaded, I go to the top of the page and click on one of the options in their 'menu bar', only to have an ad pop up at the last minute a fraction of a second before I click, so instead of clicking on what I wanted, my click registers on their pop up ad and my whole screen take me there.

The biggest offenders seem to be companies trying to sell me medical equipment or drugs for ailments I do not have, Political groups on both sides of the aisle but a bit more leaning from the right, and Tesla. Not the company directly but organizations, forums, newsletters telling me how great Tesla is, telling me how great Elon Musk is, telling me I need to go to their site and sign a petition going after people who criticize Tesla or Elon Musk. I just want it to stop.

Youtube is getting much worse also.  Many videos I'll load, you have 2 ads to watch before you watch the video. In the past most of they you could skip after 5 seconds, now I'm coming up with more of the unskippable ones.  And what makes it worse is that I'll load a video that I KNOW what I want to see is farther into the video...so I watch the ad at the beginning, sometimes 2 ads. Then when I click to foward the video 1/3 of the way through, (without watching an of the video yet), I get another un-skippable video.  After that, I finally see the video I want but realize I have to go forward just 20-30 seconds to get to the part I want.  So I move the status bar just a tiny bit, and when I do that, BAM, not only another 30 second ad, but the EXACT same one I just saw 10 seconds ago.

Getting emails from companies or political organizations that I never signed up for

Yeah, I know sometimes you'll answer a survey online, make a purchase from someplace new, and deep in their fine print there might be something about selling your info, or sharing it with their partners.

But I'm usually very careful about that.  And in the past couple months, I have not signed up for any new social media sites or apps...not downloaded any new games or apps to my phone,....not given my email or phone number at all to anyone to 'get a coupon code for my first purchase'.  Nothing like that.

Yet over the past 30 days, my email is getting flooded...mostly from companies I never heard of, but as I said above from politial groups. I unsubscribe, day after day, email after email, yet they keep coming. Today was the worst morning of all of them.

Worst offenders are companies trying to sell me medical equipment or drugs (for ailments I have never had), or telling me about benefits I can receive as a Senior Citizen (I'm not one), or for some reason sites and blogs about Tesla...Sign a petition to defend Elon musk from his evil enemies!  Come to our site to read why Tesla is going to be the biggest company in the world in 6 months!  Enough. Stop.

And another minor complaing...when I do unsubscribe, the web page usually confirms that. The reason I am unsubscribing is I want my email inbox to be CLEAN of stuff I don't want. Yet every one in a while, I'll unsubscribe from a email, and then IMMEDIATELY get another email from them telling me that I unsubscribed.  You already confirmed it on your page...the very thing I am doing is tryhing to NOT get another single email from you and yet you send me an email to tell me I won't get any more emails.

McDonald’s new environmental friendly straws suck.  If you pinch the end to get the paper off or to insert them into cup, they crack leaving a sharp edge at the end.

Plus, here in WNY the buy any size pop for .99 cents in the last 6 months, went to $1.19 and now $1.39.

You would think that would be enough to slow me down from 1 or 2 large per day. 🤞🏻

What makes me upset is that you have to put coins in a machine to get air for your tires. Having to pay for air is an outrage! Recently, I had to put air in my tires. I put 6 quarters in the machine that had a short time limit. So unsurprisingly, the machine didn't work. No air. I went into the gas station establishment to get a refund. The person working in the enclosed glass area told me that the machine was not owned by the establishment so he couldn't reimburse me. As everyone here knows very well, I'm usually a mellow fellow. I went berserk! I started screaming at him like a maniac. He told me he would be willing to give me 75 cents back. I went even crazier on him to the extent that he backed up with fear in his eyes. He then opened up the cash register and gave me $1.50, a full refund.

The question I pose to the members here is: Did I act in an unreasonable manner?

Yes. You took it out on someone whose fault it was not (damn you Darth). Better to butter that person up, bc he can help you. Presumably there's some procedure to get your money back through the vendor. I dunno, I've been there done that (minus the maniac part, I hope). A buck fifty ain't worth it.

Your response is reasonable. I'm confident that buttering him up was not going to get me reimbursed. I went up to him and politely explained what happened. His attitude was dismissive. My responding attitude was his response was inadequate. The money was never the issue for me.

BJs Wholesale still has free air by their gas pumps.

My complaint is I have to get up Saturday at 4am to catch a flight. But at least it’s to go to Hawaii.

Many towns in WNY had a deal in the past with a company in Hamilton to provide salt for the roads.  NYS passed a law that towns must buy from a company here in the states. Closest supplier can’t keep up with demand. Now towns are forced to only salt some roads.

Once again, nice job NYS. 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

You were right. That guy was full of *****. I disagree with Stoner.
