I used to be in a similar supervisor position years ago. I stepped down, because I didn't think the money was worth the aggravation. Now

I retired as a manager in order to boost my pension but I hated the job. The stress shortened my overall career and made hate the company for a while.

The smartest tradesman I worked with should have been a supervisor but his mantra was “the financial gain is not worth the mental strain”.

My wife turned down an offer for a nursing supervisor position for the same reason..

Was just looking at an unopened bag of Doritos at a party recently…$7.29.  😱

That being said, I don’t do a lot of grocery shopping, so for all I know, that is the norm for many different products.

Yeah, 'sales' can be your friend.

When I shop, I rarely buy stuff that isn't on sale, especially when those items go on sale on a regular basis and there is a big difference in price.  When you shop every week, you start to understand the trends.  When something we use is on sale, I stock up on a bunch of them and it gets stored in the pantry, basement, or back of the freezer. I can't imagine shopping for groceries any other way.

Yet, our daughter and her boyfriend....they just buy whatever they want regardless of the price.  If they had a bag or doritos every week, they simply buy one per week. The week they are on sale, do they buy more? Nope, its like they don't even look at prices at all, they look at what they want and in the cart it goes.

That’s pretty much everything in the stores.

At BJ’s you can get 2 large bags for $8.

Did an Ancestry DNA test hoping for some tangy news based on some long time family stories.

While I’m not all that surprised, based on my mom’s track record of telling her version of history, it turns out I’m even whiter than I thought.

Really not sure how I got so funky on the bass.

You're related to Elizabeth Warren?  😉

Delivery apps are your friend. Haven’t walked into a grocery store in a year. Tops or Wegmans. Costs 2 bucks boom

A very mid complaint.

I like turkey just fine, but there are better options.  Let’s start a strip steak revolution!

Oven roasted turkey is Meh, even if cooked well... But a good deep fried or especially brined and smoked one.... Different level. I did 2 this year and after the brine, I made an herb butter and slathered the butter under the skin before smoking for 7 hours... That's the move.

I love when kickers get all religious after making a kick... If there is a god (skeptical) I'm pretty sure that supreme being gives zero craps about your 32 yard FG.

Also, I don't need to see Jesus commercials during football.... I think the church could better spend that money on actual worldly problems.

You're a good man and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

But I love roast turkey, and I don't like it brined.  Too salty.

I don’t understand why people need to get all ***** fancy with Thanksgiving dinners. Make the classics and make them well. Instead of figuring out how you can add a bunch of stupid ***** to a dish or try to shuffle making 5 sides, just do the minimum number to the maximum ability. People ask me what I do to make good meals. It’s super easy. I try hard. Don’t overthink it. Needless to say I’ll be going back to hosting next year.

Thanks, I hope the same for you too!

I think of its brined right and then properly rinsed, you won't get that salt issue.

We brine it and then oven roast.  The crowd goes wild.  But yes, you have to rinse it thoroughly.  Old fashion style but roasted by a lady that really knows what to do.   No complaints in this house.

Yeah, I think people misunderstand what brining is supposed to do for the meat. Not as much as a marinade as it is a tenderizer. If it's not rinsed good then you have a salty fowl.

Amazon sucks this time of year. All of a sudden 1 and 2 day shipping becomes 4 or 5.  Don’t even think about ordering anything by the middle of next week and expect it before Christmas.

How about hiring extra help and/or offer up as much OT as staff can handle.

3rd snowfall in two weeks of 6”+.  I’ve always been more tolerant of winter when there is no significant snow until after Christmas.

The older I get, the more I dislike winter.

Only silver lining…being retired at least eliminates commuting during a storm.

Yep, was gonna buy batteries last night and every option indicated a week for delivery.

Oh and my complaint is the Sabres Suck.

I have had 2 orders that just went 'missing' from Amazon in the past month.

The most recent, tracking showed it showed up last Wed at the fulfillment center.  It was scheduled to be delivered Thursday. A week later? No delivery. When I check out the reason why, and I even called them, they said it was due to 'inclement weather' in the area.

Funny, not only do I live in NORTHERN Niagara county were its been sunny most of the last week and there is no snow on the ground, but my wife, who has a different amazon account, had an order that was tracked through the same fullfillment center, that arrived the day after mine, and her order showed up this past monday.

If you lost my item, I get it, if it got damaged in the facility, fine, it happens, Just don't lie to me about it.
