apuszczalowski Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/p...ORTS02/80711038 From the front page Looks like the Sabres are allowing the Panthers to talk to Cunneyworth now before his contract expires to keep him in Rochester to coach the Amerks. Maybe they aren't interested in moving Regier to President, Ruff to GM and Cunneyworth to coach like some have suggested in the past that they should do. Seriously though, it looks like they may be letting Cunney stay in Rochester where he ahs lived for 20 years, and not have to uproot to Portland
wjag Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 It's where he belongs until he gets a HC job...
Goodfella25 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Posted July 11, 2008 I think it'd be a mistake to let him go, but if he wants to stay in Rochester nobody can blame the Sabres. I have to think that the Sabres value his coaching and getting the young guys ready for Lindy in the big league. He will be sorely missed if he doesn't coach our guys in Portland. Either way, he is headed for an NHL head coaching job anyway. I actually can't believe he made it through this summer without being hired.
