well, not ufa stuff, but i see that the pens signed fleury for 7/35 - that has to be good news for darcy & co.

edits: link to tsn: "A day after signing core players Evgeni Malkin and Brooks Orpik to long term deals, the Pittsburgh Penguins took care of their goaltender on Thursday. Sources tell TSN Marc-Andre Fleury has signed a seven year, $35 million extension."

tfp, however, has the deal at 7/45 -- linkel -- and also reports that the pens signed satan and fedotenko (good luck with those, both).

second edit: satan and fedo link.

ESPN says Kalinin to the rangers is the rumor.

What?!? That might be the worst possible place for him. If they jump on him the way they usually do to turnover-prone defensemen, he'll be seen leaving MSG in tears...

forgot what day it was:

3:37PM Montreal Canadiens sign UFA forward Georges Laraque (3-year, $1.5 million).

Nathan Paetsch will have to dodge elbows 8 times a year now.
