Two or less Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 NHL Central scouting's Jack Barzee "Justin moved to center this year and he ended up carrying his team to the State tournament. He is tall and skinny right now, but he's a lot like Jamie Langenbrunner was at that age, with a little bit different intensity than Langenbrunner had. When Justin kicks that intensity up he has that snap and finesse that allows him to make big plays. He can come down on the defenseman, use him as a screen and snap the puck off to surprise the goalie. He's one of those guys that has the uncanny ability to put the puck in the net ? I think he can be a goal scorer at any level ? he just needs to get stronger." Looks like a solid pick. He's headed to Minnesota State-Mankato. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=36123...mp;service=page
shrader Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 A landcow (yeah, only I get it, who cares)? Don't expect to hear much from him throughout his college career.
Bmwolf21 Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 From the Sabres Edge blog: 11:55 a.m.: There are timeouts in the draft. Who knew? The Sabres just took one at the 101st pick. The next pick is another high schooler, Justin Jokinen. The Minnesota winger is 6-2, 165. He's athletic but needs to fill out, obviously. A short while later, at 104, the Sabres selected 6-2, 185-pound defenseman Jordon Southorn from the Quebec league.

Bunch of "yoopers".
