gregkash Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Bogosian is Armenian. So I want him to go soon.
stenbaro Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Ovie was a number 1 i thought I wasnt sure...
ROC Sabres Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Islanders willing to trade their pick for 2 second round picks? Did i hear that wrong or was that what he said?
stenbaro Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Not even close to $5.25 million solid.edit: Phoenix is going to be interesting to watch next year. Gets even worse for the Habs eh? They gave up a 2nd rd pick next yr in the deal..LOL..They got back a 5th this yr..
Bmwolf21 Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 is the draft on any US TV station? NHL Network is showing the 2006 Stanley Cup finals right now.
Bmwolf21 Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 Youre right there, but he is a solid hockey playerFlorida just made their defense very interesting..Maybe Bowmeester is gonna be had for the right price Yeah he's a solid player but I think I agree with shrader, not $5.25M solid. Until last year he had three straight years of 78+ points, including a point-per-game campaign his first year in Calgary (22-59-81 in 81 GP) but he dropped to 18-40-58 in 74 games this year.

The Habs are up against the cap also arent they with there UFA I think
Bmwolf21 Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 The Habs are up against the cap also arent they with there UFA I think Looking at NHLNumbers.com, it looks like they have $38M committed with Streit, Brisebois, Ryder and Smolinski as their UFA's.
wjag Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Just finished watching the first hour or so if the NHL draft. The NHL draft is soooooooo boring.... The commentators, the pace, the flow is just brutal. I'll check back in around 10p and see what the Sabres get. With the run on D-men, it'll be interesting to see what's left... The NHL draft is not a made for TV event.

Sure, part of that is because I've actually watched a few of these kids play, but this one is also a lot quicker than the NFL.

Sure, part of that is because I've actually watched a few of these kids play, but this one is also a lot quicker than the NFL. It's probably un-American of me to say this, but I definitely enjoy watching the NHL draft way more than the NFL draft. It's way more action packed. Less time taken between picks and the trades are making this really exciting. Looking forward to see if the Sabres move into the top 10 and/or who they pick at 13. I'd like to see the Sabres get a defenseman, but we'll see.
SabresFanInRochester Posted June 21, 2008 Author Report Posted June 21, 2008 Did you just see in the background??? Regier was on the telephone!!! He must be ordering a pizza, because I feel like Buffalo is the only one to not get in on the action. Seriously, I was a little bummed listening to Flecther (Toronto) talk about making a move to get a quality player, even if that means giving up a 2nd and a 3rd round pick. That's what I'm talking about. I wish Buffalo would do something. Arghh!!! Instead of a top defenseman or forward, we'll end up with a 3rd line d-man or a forward that will make it up from Portland in 2011.
gregkash Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I dont think the sabres would be dealing to move up.
Ramius Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 anyone know about what time the sabres will be picking with both of their #1s? thanks in advance.
stenbaro Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I dont think the sabres would be dealing to move up. In Darcy's interview at 6 pm he said it would cost to much to move up and if none of three players were there when it was there pick he would look to trade down
shrader Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Damn, I at least wanted to see Wilson go to a decent market (but he could be in one shortly). I just hope he stays in school, but I don't know if Nashville is the type of team to leave a guy in school.
shrader Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 At this point, I'm very intrigued by the possibility of Tyler Myers being available for us at 13.
