FormerFreddie Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Not just native Buffalonian, but a HUGE supporter of the Bills and Sabres. Too bad...
X. Benedict Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008  This one feels like a punch to the gut.
Bmwolf21 Posted June 13, 2008 Author Report Posted June 13, 2008 Not just native Buffalonian, but a HUGE supporter of the Bills and Sabres. Too bad... Yep...wanted to get the post up as quickly as possible, so I left that out. But a huge Buffalo guy, in every sense of the word. This one feels like a punch to the gut. Yeah, you're not kidding. I'm stunned right now. I never thought I'd be hit hard by the death of a TV personality or celeb, but this one stings.
BetweenThePipes00 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Oh man ... RIP ... just stunning. He was a great ambassador for the city, a source of pride. So wrong he's gone without seeing the Bills or Sabres win one ...

awill29 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Wow. Just wow. It's so weird...he was big into the election, we saw him all over the place on T.V., and just like that, he's gone. R.I.P.
Mike Oxhurtz Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 I always liked Tim Russert. I didn't know that he was from Buffalo. R.I.P.
Two or less Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 WOW. This is sad. I'm not too much into politics but i always watched him. He made it fun to watch politics on MSNBC and meet the press. He will be missed. R.I.P.

Hawerchuk Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Just shocking. He will be sorely missed by all news outlets/media and for his constant professionalism. A true Buffalo Hero. Very sad. R.I.P. Tim.

Mr. Russert should be held as the highest standard for being a professional, a citizen and a human being. R.I.P. Mr. Russert Agreed. I loved when he would close Meet the Press with a Buffalo reference. If you want a great book for Fathers Day, I suggest his book Big Russ and Me.
Knightrider Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Second in as many days that I'm stunned by a death due to heart attack. I need to get more exercise... RIP, Little Russ :(

shrader Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 I've never paid much attention to politics, but any time he was on the news, he always kept my attention. What a shame. He was way too young.

spndnchz Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Even I, at the age of 21, knew this man. A pillar of great broadcasting, honest and respected. hell, I even read "Big Russ". I'm gonna cry. RIP
