gregkash Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Can you imagine a healthy Connolly centering Gerbe and Kenndy. I realize someone would play off natural position. But that's so much puck handling skill on one line, it's tantalizing to think about. Not saying it's gonna happen. Just nice to think about. Who would you put them with in a year when they're ready.

It's hard to imagine a "healthy Connolly". The Sabres have some great talent int he pipeline. I'm very interested, as we all are, to see how they add to it this summer. They should come out of the draft with at least two solid prospects. You take into account how young their current stars are and project two-three seasons down the road the Sabres seem to be set up nicely for some long term success.

Plus I haven't seen enough of either Gerbe or Kennedy to start salivating over possible line combinations, at least not quite yet....
apuszczalowski Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 A Healthy Connolly................................................. Its nice to dream isn't it?
gregkash Posted June 2, 2008 Author Report Posted June 2, 2008 THIS IS A WHINE FREE THREAD. Take your cheese and get out. This thread is about hopes and dreams and what could be instead of focusing daily on your preconcluded opinions about crap no one here really knows anything about.
Strow Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Is anyone on that line over 6 foot tall? I think they would get killed on the ice.
BetweenThePipes00 Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 That line would probably have "one too many passes" written all over it .... But then who knows, have not seen the kids play yet ...

So you are saying that you know a healthy Connolly with Gerbe and Kennedy would be such a great line that you would be salavating watching them play?
inkman Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Can you imagine a healthy Connolly... While your optimism is refreshing, I hope the team moves forward without him as a piece of the puzzle that will be counted on. It jerks with team chemistry and organizational continuity. Whether he is a spare part, a trade (doubt it) or the new hulking nets coach; I don't care just don't give him an important role.
