I actually *liked* Cruel Intentions. :o

Same here. I thought SMG was pretty good as a manipulative, oversexed queen bee...

i actually know someone who considers "nothing to lose" their favorite movie (no, it's not me). that scene with the spider and flaming shoe is just too much. i kinda liked it.

Not my favorite but definitely love that movie. Really like Dr. Perry Cox as one of the bad guys, especially when he is taunting Tim Robbins about the wallet - "where's that wallet, Alice? I'm gonna need that wallet, you little [w]itch..."

In no particular order...

Boxing Helena (with "Warlock")

Any M. Night Shyamalan movie (Signs being the worst)

Blown Away (with Corey Feldman/Haim and a flat Nicole Eggert- Pure Genius)

Any movie where Robin Williams plays a healer/doctor (pretty much all of his movies)

Legends of the Fall (The post-stroke Anthony Hopkins is off the charts unintentional comedy)

Point Break (Busey and Keanu...beyonf belief cheesy bad. Somehow very watchable.)

The Black Dahlia (Best book ever. Possibly the worst flick ever. Still don't know how DePalma pulled that off)

Um...Freddie Got Fingered is BRILLANT. I take offense to that one.

I like some of Shymalan's stuff - Sixth Sense, The Village, Signs - and Unbreakable was just OK. I like that you have to think a little to figure out where some of the stuff is going, and I like the twists at the end. I haven't seen Lady in the Water but am looking forward to The Happening.

Freddy Got Fingered...I just don't get Tom Green. The only thing he's done that I liked was when he was the "narrator" in Road Trip.

Point Break was great! Johnny!

Also, the original Pee-wee big adventure was awesome as well (one of Burtons first!)

Sixth sense was good the second time you watched it and I thought Blown away was a Tommy Lee Jones flick

Where to begin...Howard the Duck, Gigli, Snakes on the Plane, Soulplane, Stoploss (horrible acting, good premise) I could go on forever. Oh yeah almost forgot...P.S. I love you.

Definitely a subjective thread.

No, just a poorly titled one. It should be something like "movies you hate" but these kind of threads always end up with titles like this one.

I can't believe I forgot about these two Tom Cruise beauties.

Magnolia and Eyes Wide Shut.

Both are unwatchable. :death:

I don't know, there are parts of Eyes Wide Shut that are most definitely watchable. Unfortunately, everything in between is god-awful.

Weekend at Bernies 2. Probably one of the top ten reasons why the Holiday Six Theaters were demolished ;).

The only M. Night Shyamalan movie I liked was The Sixth Sense. Unbreakable & The Village had horrible story lines.

I turned off Eyes Wide Shut after 15 minutes.

Warlock III (without the original Warlock- Julian Sands) I turned it off after 15 minutes as well.

That's why whenever you see an "OT" before the start of a thread, it means "Off Topic".

Unfortunately, 5 of the top 8 threads right now are OT (well, four are marked that way, but the home-runs thread should be, too.) That's the problem with this time of year; not enough hockey to talk about.

It was nice when we were in the EC finals the last 2 years, we had hockey to talk about. The Sabres haven't played in over a month, so we've been having to come up with a ton of other stuff to talk about.

The period between Hockey is over with and Football starts is a boring time for Sports.
