Mike Oxhurtz Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 The Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood-Worst movie I've ever tried to watch out of principle Dave Chappelle's Block Party -It was a good documentary, but shouldn't have been in theaters. I only watched Leprechaun 1 & 2, the rest looked really ridiculous so I didn't even bother with them. I didn't see "Jason X", I heard it was terrible and the previews look bad for it.
carpandean Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Backdraft. I never baught into the Ron Howard hype. In fact every one of his movies is quite horrible except for maybe Appollo 13 and that was only because Tom Hanks saved it. Oh no you di'n't!! As a firefighter, I realize that it lacks any sort of realism, but we used to refer to this as "The Movie" back in the day. Sadly, I can recite the whole thing buy heart. My brother and I are/were both firefighters, so we used to do the "Who's your brother, Brian?!" "Your are Stevie!" (the one from the beginning of the movie, not the end  ) all the time.
TM8-PL16 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Wolf Creek and Blair Witch project are probably the two worst... well at least those are the first two that come to mind. Wolf Creek was marketed all wrong and I'm not exaggerating when EVERY person in the theatre with us was upset with that movie, the discussions about it's horribleness continued between strangers into the parking lot.
Mike Oxhurtz Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 House of a 1000 Corpses was another stinker that I forgot about. All of us in the movie theater were ripping on Rob Zombie. Devil's Rejects & Halloween were much better.

I know I am old and out of touch, but how hard does one have to look to find an actual theater showing a movie called "House of a 1000 Corpses" ... that just screams "straight to video" to me ....
Hawerchuk Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 "The Rock" with Nick Cage and Connery. I don't care what anyone says, that movie was so damn cheesy and such a stupid plot. I hated it.

Some of us like an old fashioned horror movie (not the crap from the 90's), and are also fans of Rob Zombie. But House of a 1000 corpses was a rip-off from Texas Chainsaw Massacre & a bunch of others rolled up into an acid trip. That movie was absolutely terrible.

elcrusho Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I have to put my 2 cents in... The Karate Kid III was never made....and let's leave it at that and Rocky V was never made...need I say more For all of you making these horrible rumors please stop...

That's a much better way to look at things.

Bmwolf21 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 It may have had its flaws, but there is no way that "The Rock" belongs on a worst movie ever list. Amen. Any movie with Vanessa Marcil, ahem "straddling" someone while wearing a nightie is A-OK in my book. Flame away.

But House of a 1000 corpses was a rip-off from Texas Chainsaw Massacre & a bunch of others rolled up into an acid trip. That movie was absolutely terrible. For his first attempt it wasn't too bad. It was intended as an homage to the great horror movies. If you want to se some really great bad movies there is a Grind House series where you can such classics as The Teacher and a great collection of Sonny Chiba movies. They are soooo bad they fun to watch. I do suggest drinking before hand.

Team Strike Force Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Here's a bunch that haven't been named yet. Cruel Intentions All Fast and the Furious Movies The Replacements Nothing to Lose I agree with whoever said Swimfan White Chicks I have to imagine that tripe such as Spiceworld and Glitter have to be among the worst. Any Adam Sandler movie after the Wedding Singer. Bulletproof sucked, too. Anything on Comedy Central on Fridays between 5-7 PM There are so many out there, I could go on forever.
Team Strike Force Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Slugs: They Slime, They Ooze, They Kill. And no, that isn't a joke title. Oh yeah, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, Secret of the Ooze
Bmwolf21 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 EDIT: I realize it's subjective, but I think alot of the movies listed belong in the "bad movies" category and not "worst movies." For me, I believe the worst movies are ones like Gigli, Kazaam, Jeepers Creepers, White Chicks, From Justin to Kelly, anything involving Paris Hilton, Battlefield Earth, Glitter, Freddy Got Fingered, Who's Your Caddy and Soul Plane. I admit I am a "bad movies" enthusiast, but movies like The Rock, The Replacements, Nothing to Lose and Cruel Intentions all have their own charm and have things that make them watchable. I guess I define bad movie as something I want to turn off 15 minutes in - which is why I am going to get flamed for this, but Team America - World Police is on my "worst movies" list. Oh yeah, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, Secret of the Ooze I find it disturbing that you differentiated between Turtles I and II.
Screamin'Weasel Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Hands down - Anaconda. When Jennifer Lopez fires a bolt action rifle 3 times without ever throwing the bolt you have a dreadful movie. Strike one. 800 pound cold-blooded 25 foot long reptiles that move lightning fast. Strike two. It starred Jennifer lopez. Yer out! Runner up: Congo. Its only redeeming quality was Bruce Campbell's bit role.

I find it disturbing that you differentiated between Turtles I and II. Definitely a subjective thread. I absolutley *hated* Cruel Intentions. Since I was watching The Replacements on TBS, it was easy to turn off for me after 15 minutes. Nothing to Lose was Tim Robbins' worst mistake. Yeah, differentiating between the two Turtles movies is really splitting hairs. I think the scene in the first one where Splinter is mimicking his master and they show a silhouette of a little rat doing Karate moves rates as some of the best unintentional comedy I've ever seen. That keeps it on the bad movie list, but not worst.

will Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 i actually know someone who considers "nothing to lose" their favorite movie (no, it's not me). that scene with the spider and flaming shoe is just too much. i kinda liked it. but when nicolas cage finds his best friend dead in his apartment in "ghost rider," and all he says is "aw, mac" before going about his business like nothing happened...well, that was the last straw. eva mendez should be forced to give back her SAG card and just get into porn already...i don't think she knows what it means to act.
stuhast41 Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 In no particular order... Boxing Helena (with "Warlock") Any M. Night Shyamalan movie (Signs being the worst) Blown Away (with Corey Feldman/Haim and a flat Nicole Eggert- Pure Genius) Any movie where Robin Williams plays a healer/doctor (pretty much all of his movies) Legends of the Fall (The post-stroke Anthony Hopkins is off the charts unintentional comedy) Point Break (Busey and Keanu...beyonf belief cheesy bad. Somehow very watchable.) The Black Dahlia (Best book ever. Possibly the worst flick ever. Still don't know how DePalma pulled that off) Um...Freddie Got Fingered is BRILLANT. I take offense to that one.
