stenbaro Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 I am glad we fired Teddy..He hasnt done squat since he was canned here.. :wallbash:
GoatheadInCT Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 He wasn't given the chance to early, and their personnel just are not doing their job. First off, DiPietro isn't a starting NHL goaltender- Dubielewicz should start for them and that stupid contract prevents it from happening. Second, their offense is putrid; they miss Smyth don't they?? Without goal scorers, you are pretty much dead and they learned that lesson this year. Don't blame personnel decisions on Ted- he's in a bad situation.
bob_sauve28 Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 I like Ted and all, but he has Hasek largely to thank for his success in Buffalo
X. Benedict Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 I like Ted and all, but he has Hasek largely to thank for his success in Buffalo It is a similar style hockey on the Island albeit without Hasek. Virtually unwatchable. $57 to watch Comrie and Bill Geurin and Satan cross the blue line alone to lead one on two rushes. No thanks.

X. Benedict Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 DiPietro is a staring NHL goaltender, but he isn't as elite as a lot of people think or want to believe. His greatest asset is often his skating and stick work. His Defenders line up across the blueline and force a dump in and he clears it out before the oncoming forwards can get to it. In some ways it really is remarkable how good he is at it. But it just takes one mistake to make him look foolish. That's why he was such a bad choice for the Olympic team on international size ice, it took away his best asset.
