X. Benedict Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 He didn't call him out for diving. He had no clue who Pominville was. Same incident. Weight said he didn't remember the name but said there was a dive on his boarding call in the ECF. Labiallette implied the same thing. Lindy called it a cheap shot. Rioting ensued. :)
Bmwolf21 Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Same incident. Weight said he didn't remember the name but said there was a diveon his boarding call in the ECF. Labiallette implied the same thing. Lindy called it a cheap shot. Rioting ensued. :) Babies were eaten, NASCAR statues were defecated upon, and there was general mass hysteria from the Hooligans of Western New York. Surprisingly, thought - no reports of cars being flipped or burned....
shrader Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Didn't he say he had no clue who Pominville right before the series started? It would've been shortly after the OT shortie to finish off Ottawa.
carpandean Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Weight was penalized for boarding when he hit Pominville from behind early into overtime of Game 6 on Tuesday. Buffalo's Daniel Briere scored on the ensuing power play for a 2-1 victory. Weight accused Pominville of diving and said: "I don't even know his first name, for God's sake." Not a problem for Pominville. "It's actually kind of funny," he said Wednesday when told of Weight's comment. "But he knows my last name because he hit me from behind," added Pominville with a laugh, referring to his last name stitched on the back of his No. 29 jersey.
