Bmwolf21 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 A little late, but... Today's games: Nashville at Detroit, Game 2, 2 p.m., NBC Boston at Montreal, Game 2, 7 p.m., Versus Dallas at Anaheim, Game 2, 10 p.m., Versus Scoreboard Link Right now Detroit leads the Preds 4-2 with about 5 1/2 to go in the 3rd period. I'm going to the Lake Erie Monsters' home finale tonight, so I'll miss the Boston-Montreal game, but should be back to catch the Stars-Ducks.

"It's Saturday" Real good Steve, real good. I think we're the only two posting now... Either way - big win by Detroit, and they're now one step closer to knocking out those punks & thugs from Nashville...

bob_sauve28 Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I can't wait for the Montreal Boston game! An old Adam's Division match up!
Chief Enabler Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I can't wait for the Montreal Boston game! An old Adam's Division match up! tomorrow in Boston has abit extra zip as well....being the first playoff game in Boston since 04'.....I believe Montreal is focused on wearing Chara down over the length of the series....
Seth Greenstein Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Boston - Montreal should be pretty sweet... As I said in another thread, I would be OK with the Canadians going all the way. I have nothing against them and it's good to see a Canadian team at the end. And if the Ducks have any chance of repeating or even making some noise in the playoffs (something no SC champ has done the following year since 2002), they need to win this game. Game 2 usually isn't a must win game, but this series is probably the most even series in the playoff. The Stars in game one found the weakness of the Ducks, lack of discipline, and took advantage. Will the Ducks be that undisciplined again? Probably not so that will make the game more interesting...
bob_sauve28 Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Boston is one boring team! Montreal looks real good. Lots of talent and creativity.
SwampD Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 2-2 with a powerplay still. man i don't know which game to watch
Seth Greenstein Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 All I know is as an interested person in the Ducks-Stars game, I am now just cheering for a winner soon so that this doesn't go to OT... The next game, that can go to OT for all I care...
carpandean Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Boston gives Montreal a 4-minute PP with less than 2 minute left. Off the pipe with about 3 second left. Still get a minute forty-something worth of PP in OT.
bob_sauve28 Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Wow, what a finish to regulation. Thomas really smacked that guy in the face. And a hit goal post to end game was exciting!

GoatheadInCT Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 I HATE JACK EDWARDS!!!!!!! #@!#!!!! F BOSTON... Montreal on the PP in OT for under 2.... PLEASE SCORE... LE BUT... MERCI...
carpandean Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Thomas robs Kovalev! Edit: I guess you can't give Montreal six minutes of PP. Who knew?
GoatheadInCT Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 GOOD NIGHT MR. EDWARDS.... YIPPEE!!!!! About time... stupid, stupid Bruins.
carpandean Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 Looked like it might have tipped off Chara's stick just enough to give it elevation.
Bmwolf21 Posted April 13, 2008 Author Report Posted April 13, 2008 Looks like we can cancel the APB for the Anaheim offense...only took them 4+ periods to get their first goal...
Bmwolf21 Posted April 13, 2008 Author Report Posted April 13, 2008 So Dallas takes a surprising 2-0 lead after a 5-2 win; Montreal goes up 2-0 on the strength of their 3-2 victory, and Detroit goes up 2-0 after a 4-2 victory. Some good games Sunday - Philly-Washington, NYR-NJ, Montreal-Boston and San Jose-Calgary.
