Thank you. I am disappointed to see such comments. My intent has never been to be rude or wise to anyone.

 

Knightrider's voucher is as good as one can be. I'll let it be for now. (One more remark from you about a Briere goal, though, and we invade Ontario. All the hockey players there are too old to defend the province.)

OV simply willed that goal to happen. Then, do you see his big hit with about 15 seconds left to help clear the zone?

I have been around for almost eight years now. Hopefully in the end its all fun. We have opportunity to gain a great deal of fun and friendships, if we allow ourselves to. Most folks are well aware I root for both Leafs and Sabres. Enough of that. :)

Sabres honestly didnt look like a playoff team in comparison to what we have seen so far.

Not the Jays, or Raptors even? :lol: . We root for who we root for, no apologies are needed or should be expected. It is a difference though many folks in Ontario will root for Bills and Sabres, while as you said most from Buffalo would never root for a Toronto team. Kind of a unequal relationship where I root for your teams , but you hate mine. :lol:

Players are dropping like flies with knee injuries (yikes!) in the Min-Col game. Maybe the winner from the West really won't have much left for the SC finals. :o

DETROIT - Nashville Predators forward Scott Nichol broke his left thumb in Game 1 against the Detroit Red Wings and was scheduled to have surgery Friday.

 

"Scotty is an all-purpose guy for us," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "He's strong on the draw, he's a top penalty killer and he's one of the leaders. We're going to miss him, but we've missed a lot of players over the last year or so. We just have to find another way to get things done."

Man, I tell you what, playoff hockey is just something else. I love it!!! I especially love watching Western Conference hockey. It's so fast paced, up and down with lots of hitting. I think Buffalo's style the last two years would have been very conducive to Western Conference hockey. I just think they may not have been as good, but they would have been very competitive in the Western Conference with their style of play and transition game.

 

Anywho, the Caps game was fun wasn't it? That was awesome to see them come back from 2 goals down and score 3 unanswered in the third. I love Mike Green. I wish we had him on our team. And, we've talked about leadership, and while he's not the most traditional of leaders, it's interesting to see how much of an impact Federov has had since joining the Caps. I would not mind him coming to Buffalo as our veteran leader so long as it's for far less than what he makes now.

 

I really enjoyed seeing Malone get the game winner tonight. As you might imagine I hate Ottawa, so I'm rooting for the Pens. What I'm really enjoying in all of this playoff hockey is kind of watchinga nd scouting some of these big name UFAs that hopefully the Sabres might pursue. I love playoff hockey, it's fun to watch.

Their style may have worked, but I'm pretty sure we would have lost half of the team to injuries and maybe a fatality or two. There were few guys on the team last year that could have handled the West's physical game. We're closer now, but our D still needs some more grit.

Wow, I'm really enjoying this Avs game!! How fun is this? Johnsson takes a key penalty on Smyth. On the ensuing 6-on-4, Forsberg sends a pass to Liles at the blue line right in the middle of the ice. He sends a shot to the net and Smyth gets the tip to tie the game. If I haven't said it before on this message board, I will reiterate, John Michael Liles is a UFA on July 1st. Darcy, sign him!!! He's got a great shot, great at moving the puck up the ice and with guys like Vanek, Bernier, and Gaustad playing in front of the net he will get shots through and our guys can tip the puck in and score if he doesn't score with his shot. Sign him Darcy!!!!

Yeah, he's the perfect replacement for Brian Campbell, and he comes in cheaper, including the defensive turnovers. :D

 

And, for another Buffalo connection, Keith Carney with the game winner for Minnesota tonight. Man, it's fun to watch playoff hockey, especially when I have no intensity or stress and can just watch the games for the sheer fun of it.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing (about Campbell.)

 

Playoffs are definitely fun, but I felt some stress in the Flyers' game going into the third. I don't know why I want them to lose ... oh wait, yes I do. ;)
