K-9 Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 k-9 and Seth called the Pittsburgh Sweep! Nice. Yeah, but I also called the Caps in 5. Nice! Glad Ottawa got spanked. They're FAR bigger disappointments than the Sabes. GO SABRES!!!
carpandean Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Yeah, but I also called the Caps in 5. Nice! Glad Ottawa got spanked. They're FAR bigger disappointments than the Sabes. GO SABRES!!! Yup, and Seth called Habs in 4, so nobody will get it completely right.
Goodfella25 Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 See, I told you guys the Ducks were going to repeat! :death:
X. Benedict Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Detroit 5Calgary 7 Minnesota 6 Dallas 7 Pitt 6 Montreal 5 Philly 6 Rangers 7 Rangers over Calgary in SC Out of a pretty bad bunch of prognosticators...you called 6 out of 8 series winners.
X. Benedict Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 As did SabresFan526 Habs-Bruins (4) HabsPens-Sens (5) Pens Caps-Flyers(7) Caps Devils-Rangers (6) Rangers Wings-Preds (5) Wings Sharks-Flames (6) Sharks Wild-Avs (7) Avs Ducks-Stars (7) Ducks
Done Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Out of a pretty bad bunch of prognosticators...you called 6 out of 8 series winners. Doors and wjag got 7.....overall, we all pretty much stunk. You would think 1 out of 25 could nail it. Calgary nails me again. Kiprosoff looks like a 24 year old Grant Fuhr one day, then a 34 year old Grant Fuhr the next. I'm happy Marty Biron was able to show his worth. Montreal will probably steamroll these guys now.

You are right sir. Nice job Doors and wjag. I am going to name WJAG first round prognosticator of the year. Doors (had Conklin in net :D - ) will be vice pronosticator of the first round of the year. The decision went to the only superdelegate.....me. Of course i can't do a simple tally sober and tired either.
tom webster Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 As did SabresFan526 For the record, I also recorded six out of eight. This round, I will take Montreal in 6 New York in 6 Detroit in 5 San Jose in 6
X. Benedict Posted April 23, 2008 Author Report Posted April 23, 2008 Round 2 East Montreal ?Philadelphia (Montreal in 6) Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers (Pittsburgh in 7) West Detroit ? Colorado (Detroit in 7) San Jose ? Dallas (Dallas 6)
Taro T Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 For the record, I also recorded six out of eight. This round, I will take Montreal in 6 New York in 6 Detroit in 5 San Jose in 6 So, who didn't get at least 6 right? My round 2's: East Montreal ?Philadelphia (Montreal in 6) Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers (Pittsburgh in 6) West Detroit ? Colorado (Detroit in 6) San Jose ? Dallas (Dallas 6)
bob_sauve28 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Round 2 East Montreal ?Philadelphia (Montreal in 6) Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers (Pittsburgh in 7) West Detroit ? Colorado (Detroit in 7) San Jose ? Dallas (Dallas 6) This round looks awesome! Montreal and Philly both having finished 7th games while Pitt and New York are well rested. I'm only making one prediction, and its from the heart not head. I'll go ith Colorado over Detriot in 6. But all the series look like good ones. I'd suspect Dallas does get by San Jose, though. I want to see every game
nfreeman Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 I didn't get my 1st round picks in, but here goes for the 2nd round: East Montreal ? Philadelphia: Montreal in 5 Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers: Pittsburgh in 6 West Detroit ? Colorado: Colorado in 6 (**upset special**) San Jose ? Dallas: Dallas in 6
bob_sauve28 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 I didn't get my 1st round picks in, but here goes for the 2nd round: East Montreal ? Philadelphia: Montreal in 5 Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers: Pittsburgh in 6 West Detroit ? Colorado: Colorado in 6 (**upset special**)San Jose ? Dallas: Dallas in 6 Ya!
bob_sauve28 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 After thinking about it, I also think the Rangers will win in 6. They have looked impressive to me.
Team Strike Force Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 So, who didn't get at least 6 right? My round 2's: East Montreal –Philadelphia (Montreal in 6) Pittsburgh – New York Rangers (Pittsburgh in 6) West Detroit – Colorado (Detroit in 6) San Jose – Dallas (Dallas 6) I think that Biron will take the Habs to another game 7, where the Flyers win. Pittsburgh coasts through this series in 5 games. Detroit over Colorado in 7. San Jose advances to the WCF in 6.
Bmwolf21 Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Montreal in 6. Pittsburgh in 6. Colorado in 7. Dallas in 6.
stenbaro Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 Flyers 7 Pens 7 (I want the Rangers) Sharks 6 Wings 7
R_Dudley Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 So, who didn't get at least 6 right? That would be me... I sucked last round only 4 out of 8 but did go for allot of upsets So here goes for my round 2's: East Montreal ?Philadelphia (Montreal in 5) Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers (Pittsburgh in 7) West Detroit ? Colorado (Colorado in 6) San Jose ? Dallas (Dallas 5)
SwampD Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 I went 5 for 8 in the first round. I think the west is more open than the east. Round 2 East Montreal ?Philadelphia (Montreal in 6) Pittsburgh ? New York Rangers (New York in 5) Unlike what others here think, I think Avery will get to whomever is in net for the Penguins and their goaltending bubble bursts. West Detroit ? Colorado (Colorado in 6) San Jose ? Dallas (Dallas in 7) Again, pick 'em in the west
Done Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Rangers in 5 Habs in 5 Sharks in 7 RedWings in 6
wjag Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Montreal - Philadelphia : Montreal (Montreal's PP went south and the team struggled against Boston making Philly a tempting pick... But it's Habs) Pittsburgh - New York Rangers : Rangers (I predicted a Rangers-Habs ECF before the season ended so I have to stick with it.. Rangers got seasoned talent playing) Detroit - Colorado: Detroit (Colorado bubble bursts) San Jose - Dallas: Dallas (I dissed them in round one, I won't make that mistake in Round 2) The 3 amigos are still alive... Campbell, Drury and Briere live to play another day.... But two will fade away after this round...
X. Benedict Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 Nobody called the final four. Stenbaro, Taro T, Team Strike Force, and I picked 3/4.
X. Benedict Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 ...Um...cough..(toe kick in the dirt)... What am I missing? I have a fog on the brain from watching Dallas-San Jose last night.
SwampD Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008  What am I missing? I have a fog on the brain from watching Dallas-San Jose last night. My picks were, how shall I put this, not as impressive.
