SabresFanInRochester Posted April 6, 2008 Report Posted April 6, 2008 have at it. Playoff hockey rewards the teams that are hot. Right now, that is Montreal and Washington, in no particular order. They will make a phenomenal ECF.
carpandean Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 I hope that the rankings hold out for the first round. I would like the Rangers and Flyers out early for silly, but obvious reasons, and I want Ottawa out because ... well, they're Ottawa. I don't really care if Boston loses, but I believe that the Canadians will crush them.
wjag Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Montreal was the easy choice, they dominated Beantown this year. Ottawa could surprise Pittsburgh, but I took Pittsburgh Rangers have owned Devils all year, picked Rangers While I took Washington, my gut tells me Flyers are going to surprise them.
Kristian Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Montreal - One of the hottest teams in the league right, and on home ice they'll get plenty of PP's. Pittsburgh - Sens are hurting and playing poorly, and the Pens have something to prove after losing to them last year, plus they're one of the hottest teams in 08. NJ - Rangers D need to be more than just Lundquist to win, but still this one is a longshot as the Devils are a shadow of who they once were. Brodeurs form, as always, will decide their fate. Washington - As much as some might like Marty, he would need to catch fire like there's no tomorrow for the Flyers to stand a chance of advancing here. Playoff succes requires goaltending. Washington has it, Flyers do not.
Knightrider Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008  Three no brainers, (not a single vote for Ottawa, Boston, or Philly) and 50/50 on the Rangers/Devils... I went Rangers over the Devils. I see more playmakers on the Rags, and I think Lundqvist is on par with Brodeur...
GoatheadInCT Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 Montreal, Pittsburgh, and Washington are easy choices. I firmly believe that with the experience they had last year, the Rangers will win this series against the Devils. This doesn't change the fact that you're still a scummy traitor, Drury. :death:

Ditto all your selections with an emphatic selection of washington because I despise Philly....
stenbaro Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 MOntreal Ny Rangers Ottawa I took a shot someone had to Philly
Goodfella25 Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 I'm with the majority....the only "upset" I see happening is New York over New Jersey. That also just so happens to be the series I am the least interested in, at least in the Eastern Conference.
GoatheadInCT Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Who felt sorry for Boston? I do. Jack Edwards sucks... well.. you know. They have no RJ to speak of! Poor Beanies! <_<
