Campy Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 All depends on their contracts, but I would think it would have to be worth for these guys to take the risk. I know the minimum in the AHL is quite low. Plenty of guys making under 100K. I think I saw 65 or 75k as the min for AHL players. I know the NHL min for this season was 475k. Next season it stays the same and then bumps to 500k for two years, then 525k for the two after that.

Like Blue said, $62,500 is the maximum allowed for entry level players, so the AHL minimum salary would have to be lower than the figures you suggested.

Yeah, that's what I get for posting before reading all of the posts. Edit: Professional Hockey Players' Association site says 35k, 36k next season, and 36.5k the season after.
rbochan Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 The Amerks season can't end fast enough... Final...Syracuse 10 Rochester 3 http://stats.theahl.com/stats/game-summary...game_id=1004616 Yep, and that was with Funk, Kaleta, Gragnani, Zagrapan, and MacArthur on the ice. It was 4-2 going into the third. An end-game meltdown... hmmm... sounds kinda familiar...
