Don Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=155370&hubname=nhl Does this alter the market landscape for goalies? I say "no", because of his salary; $5.3 million US over each of his next two seasons.
Taro T Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=155370&hubname=nhl Does this alter the market landscape for goalies? I say "no", because of his salary; $5.3 million US over each of his next two seasons. The only effect this has on goalies, is Montreal MAY be in the market for a cheap backup. The article says he's going to miss 6-8 weeks with the injury. The way he and Huet have been playing, he'd miss at least that much action IF he was healthy.
Eleven Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Apparently clumsiness is another side effect of Propecia.
deluca67 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 It does take another goalie off the Market. Theodore does have the price tag? But you know how teams are. Every team thinks they can be the ones to turn his game around. Plus he is one of those players who have done it in the past. Maybe putting a good team infront of him wil return him to form. I would guess several teams were stuggling over the contract versus the ROI.
DrunkenSabre Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 to be honest, this just means huet will have the time on ice for a different reason. As dave said, montreal may now be in the market for a cheap backup, but even that is slightly unlikely as they may just drag someone up from the farm. his played badly all season. sucks for him.
Saber61 Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 i don't think it will have a big one... Yann Danis is capable of backing up Huet... but if Huet fails there in big trouble.
