wjag Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 under 2 minutes to another day in the playoff race.. scores...
VABeachSabresFanatic Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
Hawerchuk Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Crosby with 2!! Nice. So where does this leave BUF now? BOS got 1.
X. Benedict Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 4-2 Pens. about as good as we could have hoped for tonight lads.
millbank Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Thank goodness.... this was far to tight of a game
BRH Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Crosby with 2!! Nice. So where does this leave BUF now? BOS got 1. It leaves us same as before: we still have to win out. It also leaves Boston and Philly sweating bullets.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Crosby with 2!! Nice. So where does this leave BUF now? BOS got 1. Sabres need to win out. Philly needs to lose out, but one OTL is okay. Bruins need to lose out. If that happens then it doesn't matter what Washington does. PTR
VABeachSabresFanatic Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Thank you New Jersey and Pittsburgh!!! Here's the current playoff scenario: To make the playoffs, the Sabres have to win their final 2 games and then have 2 of the following 3 things happen: 1. BOS loses their final 2 games in regulation - OTT and BUF 2. PHI loses their final 2 games (1 can be in OT) - NJ and PIT 3. WAS loses their final 2 games (1 could be in OT) - TB and FLA The faint ray of light is a little brighter than it was a few days ago. Time to get the Habs back for the 3rd period meltdown and keep the season alive for one more day. A Sabres win on Thursday would keep things alive until at least Friday.
wjag Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 ALIVE!!!! SURVIVED A HUGE NIGHT OF ELIMINATION GAMES
BRH Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 All that matters is we got through tonight and we are still in it.
awill29 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Still, the two biggest (and probably toughest) games remaining for any team is Buf/Mtl tommorow and then the showdown with the B's Saturday night. Just gotta survive another day, and take this one day at a time.
millbank Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 that was a great game to watch.... nice skill , hitting, a few fights... intense we survive to meet again tomorrow
ROC Sabres Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 no one is mentioning the sabres playing AT Montreal tomorrow...gonna be real tough...are they mentally tought enough to do it???? which team shows up? They aren't playing tonight so it's not an issue as of yet. Now that these two games are over we can worry about what Buffalo has to do to beat Montreal. I don't know about anyone else but i could see 3 lines being rolled and some players coming in as a limited role. Also Spacho, Kalinin or Numminen could be back tomorrow. My money is on Kalinin (unfortunately), but i still like our young D cause they are playing their hearts out every game and doing a hell of a job.
