wjag Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Why didn't they pull Miller? Can we still be in it with an OT win?
Bmwolf21 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Why didn't they pull Miller? Can we still be in it with an OT win? I'm wondering the same thing. What are we missing?
SabresFan526 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Well, season is pretty much over tonight! Boston took it to OT. It's going to be virtually impossible to get in now.
jrsarkov Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 anyone having troubling gettingWGR streaming online?
ofiba Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Why didn't they pull Miller? Can we still be in it with an OT win? I think so. We just can't catch Boston. I think we need 2 of these 3. 1. Philly lose the rest of their games 2. NY lose the rest of their games. 3. Wash lose 2 of 3. I could be wrong though.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Here's the entry from the Sabres Edge blog: End of the 3rd: The Bruins survive to get a huge point. Sabres ended the third with a 10-6 edge in shots (29-18 overall). So it comes down to this: The Sabres are still alive -- barely -- with a win. If Boston wins it, Buffalo is done. If it went to a shootout and the Sabres lost, that would be an appropriate climax to this season, wouldn't it?
wjag Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Well we won.. Sekera from Vanek If a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it, does it make a sound? Buffalo:   Boston:
Bmwolf21 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Brian who? :P Sekera keeps the Sabres' slim playoff hopes alive with a HUGE blast. Wow.
X. Benedict Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Barely alive. It's still alive though!

slapshot1619 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 damn it I take aphone call and miss the damn game winner wonderful... still in it by a thread... need alooooot of help though
awill29 Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 I think so. We just can't catch Boston. I think we need 2 of these 3. 1. Philly lose the rest of their games 2. NY lose the rest of their games. 3. Wash lose 2 of 3. I could be wrong though. From earlier in the thread: "To make the playoffs, the Sabres have to win their final 4 games and then have 2 of the following 4 things happen: 1. WAS loses 2 of 3 games (1 can be in OT) (or CAR loses all 3 games (1 can be in OT)) 2. PHI loses all 3 games (1 can be in OT) 3. BOS loses all 4 games (2 can be in OT) - 2 of the 4 are against Buffalo 4. NYR loses all 5 games in regulation" So the Sabres are still alive. NYR lost today, so (I think) all 5 still have a possibility of happening. WAS remaining schedule: Tues: vs CAR Thurs: vs TB Sat: vs FLA CAR remaining schedule: Tues: @ WSH Wed: vs TB Fri: vs FLA PHI remaining schedule: Wed: @ PIT Fri: @ NJ Sat: vs PIT BOS remaining schedule: Wed: @ NJ Fri: @ OTT Sat: vs BUF NYR remaining schedule: Mon: vs PIT Thurs: @ NYI Fri: vs NYI Sun: @ NJ I think the most probable two are Boston and Philly. NJ, OTT, and PIT are all teams that should win those games, and then we'd obviously have to beat the B's on Saturday. Washington and Carolina are probably the least likely to happen because the Leafs and Panthers are already eliminated, so they really don't have any motivation besides playing spoiler. I also think the Rags will lose to PIT and NJ, but I don't see them dropping 2 straight to the Isles.
millbank Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 No reason Boston cannot lose their remaining games. But can the Sabres win theirs.
SwampD Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 damn it I take aphone call and miss the damn game winner wonderful... still in it by a thread... need alooooot of help though next three games...take a phone call.
