R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Very nice PK.. Difference in this game is that we aren't in the box and Hecht is on the PK.. True that he made some real nice plays first killing time then in Montreal zone almost setting up nice Pominville chance
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Man that price is awesome no wonder they traded Huet...
wjag Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Kovalev is turning into a Sabres Killer Buffalo:  Montreal:
Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 What exactly was Tallinder doing there? Was he trying to pole vault over Kovalev?
BRH Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 What exactly was Tallinder doing there? Was he trying to pole vault over Kovalev? Thanks a lot, Hank. Thanks for nothing there.
RichyRich Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Miller is playing a great game, but that was a HUGE overcommittment to the shooter. Tallinder, WTF?
wjag Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 That hurt. Dominate 2 periods, stay out of the box, doubled them up in SOGs and the game is tied just as the Flyers tie up the Devils..
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Yikes what a play by Kovy..Miller did not have a chance however he did go way too far too other side... was way out on that

Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Thanks a lot, Hank. Thanks for nothing there. I rewound the DVR a few times and I still have no idea what he was doing. I mean really, truly have no idea.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Watching the replay a few more times, I actually don't think Miller overcommitted on that one. He was on a good angle for the shooter and from what he could see, Tallinder was right next to Kovalev. I don't think he expected Tallinder to try to spear Kovalev and then fall down...
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I rewound the DVR a few times and I still have no idea what he was doing. I mean really, truly have no idea. Obviously he doesn't either, Whats Lindy say to player on something like that when they Video review themselves ?
sabregoats Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I don't think that puck ever went in the net. I have rewound a replayed frame by frame, and can't see it ever cross the line. I can't believe they didn't take a look at that and that no body on the ice complained.
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I have faith that Biron won't let us down.
gregkash Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 we'll be saying this a lot in the next week or two but, this period decides the season.
SabresFan526 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Very disappointing to give up that goal at the end of the period because the Sabres have played really well for most of the two periods. They've stayed out of the box, and the one penalty they took, they really did a great job of killing off the PP and not allowing the Habs to set up. Need to do more of the same. I think we played very well in the second up until that goal. Miller was way out of position, and Tallinder did not come back to cover Kovalev to prevent that shot. Oh well, we need this period to keep our playoffs hope alive. Let's keep playing like we have, don't give the Habs any chances and just keep putting shots on net and get some more goals. Keep shooting, screen Price, and try to get a garbage or deflection goal.
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 we'll be saying this a lot in the next week or two but, this period decides the season. yeah lets hope they have something in the tank becuase we probably wouldn't if somehow OT came into play.. I expect Montreal to come out hard and with the way price is playing we need to make the most of the chance we might get..

I can't believe they didn't take a look at that and that no body on the ice complained. I totally thought that as well. But, then MSG showed a side angle, and it looks like the puck hit the top of the cage inside of the crossbar, and given there was no sound, it probably went in. But, yeah, I was with you, it didn't look like it went in initially, but I think the side angle showed it.

I can't believe they didn't take a look at that and that no body on the ice complained. It did. From the half-wall/corner angle you can see the puck hit the net and the mesh "bulge" on contact, but you have to go frame-by-frame and time it just right. All the other angles it looks like it hit the crossbar, but you can only see it from the one angle.
Eleven Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Kovalev is turning into a Sabres Killer He always has been; he always has had the Sabs' number.
