wonderbread Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I'm not going to believe it unless I see you post it 1 more time.I think deep down you hate him. Nice, Ofiba you got me cracking up here!
SabresFan526 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 That was a good road period even though we were at home. For the most part, it was a very smart period, but we had about 2 defensive zone lapses that very easily could have turned into Montreal goals. Got to play smarter in our end and keep peppering Price. It looks like it's going to be a deflection goal as he is on his game tonight. Just need to get that first goal and continue playing smart.
gregkash Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 TBO is done imo. he's not a bad guy, i don't hate him, but i don't trust him, no matter how long he's played to have a GAA under 3. it'll be a mutual break up at the end of the season, i believe.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 You have to wonder if a night off or two may have been better in the long run. Agreed 100%. I posted in yesterday's GDT that some of us - you, me and a few others - started saying back in early February that he needed a few games off here and there, and the response from a few others was "ride him till he falls over." Well that's happening now, and at the worst possible time. He's trying to fight through it, but you can see the fatigue (whether it's mental, physical or emotional) taking its toll - he drops down a hair too early, over commits, his angles are a little off, his focus seems a little off. Miller doesn't need to play 70+ games to be a no.1 franchise guy. If we find a competent backup that can give us 15-18 quality starts, that would put Ryan at a very comfortable 64-67 games played, which I think is just about right. He's gonna finish with what, 77 games this year? That's way too many.

Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 If you play 70+ games a year, you're just going to disappear in the playoffs. Exactly.
wjag Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Stafford from Roy Play under review... Should be a goal.. Buffalo:  Montreal:
Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Derek Roy and Jason Pominville have really picked up their games down the stretch. It's fun watching these guys develop into stars.
gregkash Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 that was a grfeat powerplay even if we didn't score.
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Exactly what i thought best it's looked in along time, good movement, created some decent chaces great possession
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Exactly what i thought best it's looked in along time, good movement, created some decent chaces great possession And now we have another one coming up. Keep up the good work and we'll see a goal.
wjag Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Outshooting Montreal 7-1 this period and 18-6 for the game..
Bmwolf21 Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 He looks a little unsure of the system or something, but the more I see of Bernier the more I like his potential. I see a lot of good little plays and a lot of good plays along the wall and in front of the net that show some good instincts and hands.
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Exactly. Anyone who doubts how important rest is for an athlete...train for and run a marathon. The "rest" week leading up to the marathon is huge.
gregkash Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 i'm normally not with you guys on the defending miller thing but that needed a response.
gregkash Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 this is interesting because this is gonna count as 2 power plays.
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 What the hell is with all these guy's running Miller what did someone put out a contract on him or what?
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 i'm normally not with you guys on the defending miller thing but that needed a response. ?
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 ? Probably the Montreal FW running into Miller because the Bflo player touched him
wjag Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Thomas Vanek All Ye All Ye Come in Free.. Buffalo 21 SOGs, Vanek 0 SOGs, Lydman 5 SOGs
R_Dudley Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Montreal's got it right that's what a defensemen is supposed too do when someone try's to get in too close on your goalie... Knew we were gonna get some penalties sooner or later comeon no wbflo SH goal
wjag Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Very nice PK.. Difference in this game is that we aren't in the box and Hecht is on the PK..
