Why Yes. Was the russian mob really after him and did he have to pay to be able skate with all his appendages.

Ask him what his name is on SS. If he isn't a regular reader/contributor ask him to join. We need some real hockey perspective on here...

Seriously? I just don't picture Alex a real student of the game. Would any of us ask Max his opinions on the Neutral Zone Trap?

wow do a lot of professional alumini play in this? this seems a little ridiculous that hes playing in it.. or is this really not that uncommon?

hockey players are hockey players. Once they retire, if they want to skate they has to skate somewhere. Nothing wrong with putting together a team of professionals/Div I types and playing other similar teams. Bondra used to play all the time around DC.

I'd love to listen in on Max and Spacek breaking down film.

Ask him if he's ever going to pay off his tab at the Lafayette Tap Room.

Oh, and maybe ask him how on earth he managed to pot 76 goals while chain smoking Pall Malls. (50, I could've understood - 60 would've been just amazing - but 76 goals from a guy who was powered by tar-filled lungs?!)

I think you are confusing hockey players with football players. After all, they had to invent a test in the NFL to judge just how stupid NFL players really are. There's a reason they diagram everything with X and Os. Words are too complicated...

I bet a guy of AM's talent could lend some real perspective to the game and how players actually deal with coaches, four games in six nights, five goals periods, etc. I also bet, given you could understand the english spoken/typed, that they can ramble on how to beat a trap.. Yes even Max..

Sign him up.

In my best Russian accent; "I #%^$#!ed her I think, she's dead fish."

Yes! A little bit of Sabres whackiness gets the creative juices flowing.

Ask how he managed to go from 76 goals to out of hokey in a matter of a few years....

He scored 76 goals in 93 and was out of hockey in 2007. That is a "few" years?

He had a chronic hip injury that ended his career prematurely.

I hate to go board police on you but this smacks of a novice fan.

I was in my senior year of college in 1993.

My wife was 13 years old.

I was 4 years removed from sporting the worst mullet this side of the Mississippi.

The Foo Fighters were still just a figment of Dave Grohl's imagination.

Pearl Jam and Dr. Dre were releasing debut cd's.

Cheers was still airing new episodes.

Cause by repeated acute injuries of being checked into the boards,
