Bad season

While I know the Sabres are not mathematically elliminated, let's just call it what it is...a bad season. It happens There is much talent here to work with, and I think this is the summer that Darcy can prove his worth. He'll have to adjust this team one more time to the ever-evolving NHL. I give Darcy a vote of confidence this summer...This team makes the playoffs next year, and vies for the top spot in the NE division.

I'm to the point where I am much more interested - at least now, in the wake of another monumental home collapse - in what the Sabres do in the offseason than I am in what happens on the ice over the next six games. And that's pretty sad.

Ye of little faith!

Sure you don't me to ship some Kool-Aid over to Broadviw Hts? Oh wait, I am passing through on my way to BFLO this morning for an extended weekend!

I have my doubts they will do anything..I would not be surprised at all if we see the same team start the season next year..I meen if you let Drury and Brierre walk in 2 days and have all summer to find one replacement and dont, and the best deal you can make all yr is trading your allstar for a mediocre prospect and a first rd pick you have problems somewhere... Time will tell...

If you're passing through, I'll give you the address...you can swing through the parking lot and toss the Kool-aid in the dumpster. It should be in there right alongside the Sabres' season.

They have been ending the same way since 1970!

I think the Drury Briere thing was just a bad gamble...after that management seemed a little gunshy. Hopefully lesson is learned. The Sabres have bargaining chips in a plethora of front line talent. If not thru free agency, then they should be able to land a solid #2 Dman via trade imho.

I'm not confident in Regier landing any great free agents. He's been good at finding mediocre players that Ruff turns into better players. Hopefully, he'll prove us all wrong and get the right players in here that we need, but I have my doubts.

Heck, if you're looking for old retired defensemen, maybe we should have made an offer to Garry Galley while he was being interviewed during last night's broadcast. Is Doug Bodger available? ;)

A bad gamble happens once..But when youre talking 85 percent of your UFA leaving then thats just bad management...
