bob_sauve28 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Looks like they are not calling penalties tonight
ofiba Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 I love MSG's collection of "thundering checks". Every one was so weak.
gregkash Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 This is typical of the sabres, for the most part outplaying ottawa but giving up a softy.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 25, 2008 Author Report Posted March 25, 2008 What do you mean weird goal? First shot? Banked it off the boards?Shubert roofed it glove side from the top of the circle, no? Looked like it to me. Fantastic shot by Schubert. On a side note - I don't recall last year's Sabres giving up so many odd-man rushes and breakaways all year long like this year's team does. Seems like every night there are huge breakdowns in coverage and multiple breaks and odd-man rushes. They've got to figure out where the heck the hole in the coverage is and get that fixed ASAP.
BuffalOhio Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Looks like they are not calling penalties tonight Wrong. Weak hooking call on Roy. Stupid for him to do it, but since nothing else has been called, how was he supposed to know they would call it? CONSISTENCY PLEASE. Weak goal by Miller. He let a part-time forward score glove-high on him. Looked like he was not centered in the net.
wonderbread Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 I love MSG's collection of "thundering checks". Every one was so weak. I said the same thing myself in this order...weak, weak, weak ,weak, did it to himself, weak ,weak.
wjag Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 What do you mean weird goal? First shot? Banked it off the boards?Shubert roofed it glove side from the top of the circle, no? It took me a few seconds to figure out CRAPTV's video is ahead of the audio. I saw the goal and heard RJ call it. But he was a bit behind the actual play. The first shot did go in.
BuffalOhio Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Jeezus. Which team played last night, and which team was off? Where's the desperation?
wjag Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Jeezus. Which team played last night, and which team was off? Where's the desperation? Remember, drink the kool aid!!
wonderbread Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Jeezus. Which team played last night, and which team was off? Where's the desperation? There is none really. Kaleta is the only Sabres I have noticed. That isn't enough alone to make the second season.
Sabretooth73 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 like i said, sabres are soft, heartless, gutless....they need to be on figure skates...they dont hit, dont play desperate unless its the 3rd period and theyre already too far behind...blah blah blah...im so sick of this team...they disgust me!
SabresFan526 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 so Stafford gets tripped and Roy gets mugged...Guess who swallowed their whistles? Only for Ottawa did they swallowed their whistles. Don't forget Chris Neil clearly holding the stick of Tallinder in that last rush in the Sabres end. Why does Ottawa get the breaks tonight? Regardless, great shot by Schubert, but you could see it developing when I think either Mair or Kaleta left their position and went after a big check and either Max or someone else was out of position to cover Schubert. Oh well, 1-0, still in this, but it's a must win game tonight, cannot lose, especially with Boston playing tonight.
jrsarkov Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 man- i was worried we were fighting for a playoff spot. i am glad that we are comfortably in. based upon how we are playing- who is fighting for the last spot. DAMN IT
jrsarkov Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 being shut-out by ottawa. if nothing else, they have bad goaltending. come on.
SabreInFla Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Boston 1 - Leafs 0 On a weak, weak goal no less.
wjag Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Anybody watching this on HD 627-1 or 770-1? If so, if your audio behind your video? It's been bad in the past, but it seems to be almost 3-4 seconds behind.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 maybe missing the palyoffs will be a good thing for this team, give them some hunger and bring in some new blood. See ya kalinen and lydman.
wjag Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 maybe missing the palyoffs will be a good thing for this team, give them some hunger and bring in some new blood. See ya kalinen and lydman. I know there is this sentiment out there. I can't see how missing the playoffs would be a good things for any reason. Losing is losing. The probable outcome of losing is a team shake-up. That part I agree with.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 25, 2008 Author Report Posted March 25, 2008 Jeezus. Which team played last night, and which team was off? Where's the desperation? QFT.
SabresFan526 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Man, this game is a matter of inches. Roy's shot is a little lower and the Sabres are up 1-0. Instead, Schubert gets a very similar shot on goal and it goes in. We're not out of it tonight, but boy do we need to start bringing the intensity. And, someone, please shut Chris Neil's yapper. I would love for someone to just take him out tonight.
wjag Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 One positive so far in this game is that the Sabres have held the Pizza line in check. Spezza has 2 SOGs and that's it.
