Bmwolf21 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 Sorry if I missed this, but what's up with Connolly? Just being rested again? I think his hip is still flaring up...
gregkash Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 they might view toronto as the game where they need connolly
ofiba Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 Sorry if I missed this, but what's up with Connolly? Just being rested again? They said he won't play back to back games. Saving him for tomorrow?
Bmwolf21 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 From the Sabres' Edge blog: 0:00 left: The Sabres lead, 4-0, after one but the Canes actually had an 11-9 edge in shots. Here's a juicy nugget from Sabres information director/stat guru Kevin Snow: It was Buffalo's eighth period of the season with four or more goals, snapping a tie with Los Angeles for the league lead.
wjag Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 How long have we been waiting for a game like this: Lead - Check PP - Check PK - Check Goaltending - Check Intensity - Check

Wow that's a huge chunk of their total,, I'd be curious on the margin of victory in those. I know last year we spread our total goals around in more games and also won those OT and SO's games were we didn't. Thats's got alot to do with record differences..
Bmwolf21 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 they might view toronto as the game where they need connolly Maybe not: Tim Connolly is again too sore to play and could miss Saturday's visit to Toronto. LINK

I'm getting closer to breaking down the goals-for totals, but there's no way I am breaking in down by period - unless I am getting paid by the Sabres. EDIT: I have to re-check these numbers. The sort didn't function the way I thought it would. Getting used to using Open Office instead of M$ Office so there are a few little quirks that have thrown me off.
R_Dudley Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 how did max miss that Somebody's gotta save something for tomorrow's game

gregkash Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 save nothing, you play 100% all the time. i love the guys who dont usually mix it up mixing it up, show some pride out there!

But using process of elimination - we've had 18 games where we scored 4+ goals, and our record in those 18 is 16-1-1. That's cool I wouldn't expect that unless you were getting paid or 30 + and still living at home with your parents

Interesting to say the very least... What is up with that? The LAK's are in the cellar... Is it a sign of a young team? 6-zip now!
